Hello, I am not a regular Tripadvisor visitor / contributor, but I do get annoyed at some of the negative comments I see here, some totally unjustified, I think it is easy to hide behind a keyboard and an anonymous identity but think carefully first because what you write can badly affect a genuine business trying to do its best,... OK, the first thing I had to remind myself having booked in to this terribly dated and uncomfortable hotel was; remember where you are. When visiting West Cork what is required accomadation wise is a base. If you can accept that then the hotel isn't a problem! However, I do have to say that this is one of the most... More

Myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights. The ladies at reception were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome...We checked in to our room and even tho it was very clean and tidy, it was very dated. Could do with an upgrade. We ate the first night in the bar which was very nice and... More

Lovely location, & staff .... very kiddy friendly . Factors outweighed by the room which was in need of a good clean, dirty threadbare carpets, dusty skirting boards picture frames...cracked sink. Could have excused the dated part but housekeeping inexcusable as was the restaurant food which was apalling. A generous breakfast .... but on the 1 morning we opted for... More

I would advise everybody to stay away from this hotel , the bedroom carpets were threadbare floors were rock hard ! Stains on walls throughout the room including up over the head board of the bed. Dirty shower curtains - lots of dirty damp patches over bath. No privacy from accommodation staff who walked in without knocking on the day... More

If I could give a gold medal to hotel staff, the Westlodge Hotel Bantry would win hands-down. Brid in the Restaurant and Michael in the bar are both gems! We were made feel extremely welcome. We booked a 2-night deal which was very good value. The hotel, while not the most modern in décor, is an excellent base for touring... More

My wife and I stayed at this Hotel a few weeks ago. First impressions on arriving was a little disappointing, while the hotel front looks very nice there were weeds growing through the brick work at the entrance. On entering the lobby it was nice and bright with large glass panels facing on to the road. At reception the receptionists... More
