Our stay at Whitehorn Lodge was very unexpected on the first night of our big OE. Wes, a friend of my daughters and a Killaloe local, organised our stay which was the best way to start a holiday. I couldn't fault anything. The bed, the cleanliness, the shower, the food and the hospitality was all top notch. The B &... More

This was the best B & B that me and my daughter stayed in in Ireland. The location is excellent, Our room and the whole place was clean and most comfortable, the breakfast was most nutritious and most plentiful and above all the hospitality was beyond compare. Anne directed us to the hot spot in town where we enjoyed and... More

Couldn't have asked for more in a b&b. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the hospitality was outstanding. I felt like I was staying with an old friend. Anne got us out to the local pub for some traditional Irish step dancing which was lots of fun!! I'll definitely be back :)

I've stayed at Whitethorn Lodge on 4 occassions over the last 3 years with my Family. Charles and Sheila are most welcoming hosts who make you feel at home straight away. The B&B is just a short walk from the town centre and has lovely gardens that guests are welcome to use. Breakfast is just amazing, big selection of cereal,... More

We have stayed at Whitethorn Lodge 5 or 6 times over the last 5 years and it has become like a 2nd home to us. (We have relatives in the area, who we regularly come and visit but who unfortunately don't have enough room to accomodate us.) Sheila and Charles almost treat us like family. Nothing is too much trouble.... More

We booked in for 2 nights. Shiela & Charles are wonderful hosts. Very helpful and very frinedly but never obtrusive. The photo on the website does not do justice to this place. The residents lounge is nicer than you would get in any hotel. The breakfasts are fantastic. Very peaceful and quiet place. we will be back.

We stayed in this B&B for one night during our recent trip to Ireland. Charles and Sheila were excellent hosts. Their B&B is beautiful with all the amenities, including two very friendly dogs. OUr room was perfect for our family of three. Charles was very helpful in telling us about the surrounding area, he recommended a hike sight-seeing drive -... More

Stayed at Whitethorn Lodge for 1 night end of June 2006. Wonderfully warm welcome from Mr and Mrs Poillot, nice large room and tea/coffe available any time in lounge with home made cake. Lovely Irish breakfast with plenty of choice. Only 34 euro each. On the main N71 road to Schull, 3 minutes walk to centre of Skibbereen. Would certainly... More
