Everything about this hotel is excellent and has been for years. The management and staff are always delighted to welcome you to their hotel and to West Cork. The service and meals are just fantastic. What more can be said? We will be back.

We spent 2 nights at the West Cork Hotel. The hotel is well located, the staff are great, and the rooms comfortable. The hotel has a local feeling and very good service. The hotel is medium sized but feels intimate. The breakfast was very good. We upgraded to a larger room that was worth it. We recommend.

A quick weekend break to visit my brother-in-law who lives nearby. From the moment we arrived the staff were brilliantly attentive without being overwhelming. The room (16) is magnificent, spacious and beautifully appointed. Enormous bathroom too! Breakfast was substantial, if that's what you wanted. On Sunday evening we entertained for dinner. An excellent meal of local produce presented in impeccable... More

I have enjoyed both bar food and restaurant facilities in this Hotel recently. It is always busy and this can be a detractor at times as the Restaurant gets very noisy and this can take from overall enjoyment. I recommend the bar for food which is consistent but can lack imagination. Perhaps, changing the Menu, from time to time would... More

We booked same day and arrived around 7 with our ten month old daughter which we mentioned when we booked over phone. We were told there would be steps to our room. The room itself was very dated and so dark it made it depressing. It was also at the far end of the hotel up 3 flights of stairs.we... More

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are very friendly and the food is good. It is in a great location to visit historic Baltimore, Clonakilty or even the Mizen Head lighthouse and museum. Just across the road from the hotel is the Famine interpretive centre. Although the story of the famine is hard to bear, if you wish to... More

Skibbereen is a small town on the south coast of County Cork. You wouldn't expect it to have a largish hotel but the West Cork is just that. Our group of twenty were well looked after by a great team of workers led by the owner who was always visible mingling with the guests. The hotel has large public rooms... More

We hosted a dinner for about 25 people in the Restaurant of the West Cork hotel, the food was delicious and plentifu l, the desserts were divine! The staff were just lovely and nothing was too much trouble, there was also a live duo on in the bar area in the evening, and it was just lovely, would thoroughly recommend... More

We had a room on the top floor. The lift only went up so far and we needed to climb three or more flights to reach the room. Not much of a view but the room was pleasant, well-stocked, spacious, clean, quiet and quite comfortable. The hotel is very well-run.. a charming and gracious ambience. And the breakfasts were great.... More

Last Wednesday I was at the carvery with my relatives for lunch. I had the beef and it was delicious. The vegetables were cooked just right. Everything had a really good flavour and it was a meal I'll treasure. I also wanted to pass on my thanks to the gentleman who was the cashier - he was friendly and helpful... More
