I've stayed here many times and once again it was charming and unique. The bed was very comfortable, the room very interesting, the breakfast delicious and Mona the hostess brilliant. She must be the best ambassador for tourism in West Cork ever. Inside and out (as seen by the numerous photographs taken by tourists of the house's colourful frontage) -... More

This was our second visit to Bridge House, we have to say that not only was the accommodation totally unique and fantastic and the breakfast was amazing but best of all was our host Mona you couldn't find better, looking forward to visiting next year and seeing our friend again

Quirky is easy. Toddle along to your local antique shop, load up a truck with as much tat as you can afford and within a couple of hours, your bed and breakfast can be legitimately advertised as quirky. Better yet, your local charity shop can supply you with any amount of mismatched dinnerware on which to serve your guests' breakfasts.... More

This is a fabulous B&B. Great rooms and a great host. The breakfast has to be seen to be believed. The rooms are comfortable and all facilities you could require. Very comfy bed and well stocked bathroom. Great breakfast in the morning and a very charming host. Be sure to sign the Visitors Book.

We were wandering down the main street of Skiberreen when we happened across a wide open and inviting doorway. Initially we though it might be a fancy restaurant but were pleasantly surprised to see the award for "Ireland's Most Unusual B&B" boldly announced in brass beside the door. We popped our heads in and immediately we wanted to stay. The... More

Truly an amazing experience. This might be a B&B, but it's much more than that. it's not about every modern amenity, it's about a journey back into Victorian splendour, the display of antiques is truly astonishing, that pervades the entire property including all the varied rooms, and demands the attention of all but the brain dead!! Mona is eccentric, no... More

Most leisurely breakfast of all time chatting to fellow guests and Mona who owns Bridge House. Breakfast consisted of Fresh fruit - melon, strawberries, twist of orange, berries and then Clonakilty Sausages and Bacon, and homemade brown bread with Olive tapanade, Gubeen Cheese, all sources from the local market. Eggs were poached to perfection. Mona, we have a great time,... More

Wow is all I can say. What a fantastic quirky fun place to stay. The breakfast was the most amazing breakfast I have ever had. Mona the owner just makes it so special. You can't get better than this. Stay here you'd be mad not to 🌞

This is by far the most fascinating, personal, engaging accommodation I've ever stayed in. The house itself has a million and 2 unusual items on the walls, shelves (including your live-in goldfish in each bedroom), and in the corners, each with a story, or failing that, the ability to make you wonder where Mona found such a thing. If you... More
