We've visited the campsite for 2 years in a row and we will be going back again this year. Mannix point is a campsite you cannot get enough of. With loads to do during the day from walks, tours in the surrounding areas, road trips and boat trips. Then in the evening as you eat and watch the sunset you... More

We visited Mannix Point during our camping round trip along the coast. Although close to the end of season Mortimer made us feel home. The campsite is located directly at the waterfront. Our spot had a wonderful view across the sea. The facilities are clean and cozy, Mortimer has a great eye for lovely details. Don't miss the common room... More

We booked a four night stay at the campsite following some internet research. The site seemed too good to be true but everything we'd read was absolutely spot on. We were promised a pitch at the water's edge, with outstanding views, and that was exactly what we got. The facilities were excellent and very clean. To get a shower you... More

We stopped here in November 2015. Though the site was officially closed, Mortimer made us totally welcome, including lighting a peat fire in the lounge for us. Great facilities, stunning location, & best of all the warmest welcome anywhere. Don't miss this one!

September is a wonderful time to visit Mannix Point campsite in Caherciveen when most of the summer visitors have gone back to home, school and work! I spent four amazing days at this idyllic coastal campsite in lovely sunshine by day and skies full of stars by night at this Dark Sky National Park. The last time I came to... More

A lovely site close to the waterfront with subtropical plants. Clean and comfortable facilities. The big and full equiped kitchen is great to cook real meals. And the best is the music or livig room with the warm peat fire place. It was so "gemütlich" or homly after a long hike in harsh weather. Mortimer, the owner is a real... More

Quite often people raise an eyebrow when I tell them I am going camping to Kerry, their thought being why would you drive for 7 hours to the furthest possible place from Belfast on the island, isn’t there a closer campsite? Well yes, there are many. But none are in the same league as Mannix Point. This was our 6th... More

I recently spent 5 nights on this most wonderfully positioned site. I had a pitch on the edge of the estuary and it was spectacular. First night it blew a gale and it was exhilarating to sit in my motorhome and watch it all. Good weather followed and sunsets were great. The site is very well maintained and the flowers... More

What sort of a dream invented this place? Absolutely gorgeous! The views - not created by the owners, obviously - are magnificent but the site itself is lovely. Each pitch - we have a VW Transporter - is plenty big enough and ours was right next to the beach, barring a sort of dyke that would surely hold back the... More
