Excellent stopping point on the Ring of Kerry. With plenty of parking, you can stand and take in the amazing views before heading to the pub, especially if the weather is good or if the sun is going down. Curiously there is an array of stone balancing going on from the viewing point. Not sure if it's all the one... More

More than twenty of us stayed here over a long weekend during which we climbed Mangerton and Carrauntoohil mountains. Friendly owner Jack was exceptional. The hostel is cosy, clean, warm and relaxing. Great bar, super food and amenities. Superb location and little gift shop too. Would recommend to groups, families and couples. Jack tirelessly went above and beyond to cater... More

Jack runs a superb establishment. Over 20 of us arrived on a Thursday and our every need was catered for over the 3 nights we stayed. From the warm welcome, great dinner, and even kindly drying all of our wet clothes - He went above an beyond! I was so highly impressed with this hostel, it's clean, warm & friendly... More

Best experience at very welcoming place. Jack has went extra mile for us so many times during our short pleasant stay at Caitins. Thank you for your patience and can only advice everyone to come over and check this place on main Ring Of Kerry road.

My fondest memory of my trip to Ireland. Caitins was exactly what we were needing; spotlessly clean, warm, and homey. Jack is a great guy and sees to anything you need. The pub is a great place to relax and have one of Jacks great Irish drinks. Our Room #3 had spectacular views of the bay. The gift shop beside... More

This location/destination is a hidden gem in the kingdom of Kerry. Accommodation is cosy and spotless clean. The pub down stairs is probably a flagbearer for traditional Irish pubs... Possibly the best pint if Guinness also!!! The hospitality shown by the proprietor Jack is second to none.. Nothing is a hassle, and they cover all angles... Great pub food, great... More

Its clear travelling around Ireland that hotel owners etc will offer great value to try and entice punters in. This great little pub/hostel is outstanding! Beautiful sea views and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We were lucky enough to be treated to a little trad from the pleasant young waitress, and a little piano from a staying guest. Lovely pints of... I stayed at Caitin's with a friend in September 2013. The location is directly across from a breathtaking view. The staff (Jack) was very kind, though shy, and made every effort to make us comfortable, providing an extra heater, and shampoo. Though it's a no-frills type place, it's very clean, right on the Ring of Kerry, and close to many... More
