My sister and I did the Kerry Way and where somewhat disappointetd that there hasn't been a hostel in Sneem. So we had no chance but take a B&B. Since our guide book recommended the Bank House, we decided to check in there. We didn't regret that choice. The owners, Noel and Margaret Harrington are lovely poeple, who made us... More

I was on a tour and had lunch at this quaint Bed & Breakfast. The lovely couple was so friendly. The light sandwiches were great. And the fresh scones were delicious. They were more than willing to share the recipe for the scones. And Wi-Fi was free with password.

Noel and Margaret were very welcoming and friendly however the guesthouse has seen better days. The room was very small but clean and the furnishings were bright and looked fairly new (except for the towels that were very thin.) The real downside was the ensuite - very tiny and carpet on the floor instead of tiles, even around the toilet!... More

From travelling around the Isles for many years, this a nice gem of a place from the heart felt welcome, the stories of themselves and Maureen o'hara to a great lunch and amazing scone, love it... you almost feel at home.

We stopped for lunch at the Bank House with a tour group doing the Ring of Kerry. It was delightful. After weeks of eating in restaurants and cafes throughout UK and Ireland it was like being in a real house with great home-made sandwiches and tea and scones that were just great. Noel and Margaret were friendly and took great... More

Our TD David recommended we stop for lunch and our whole group (38) fitted into the front rooms and enjoyed delightful sandwiches with trimmings, tea and scones (plus we got the recipe). Highly recommend a stop and look around this beautiful house and town.

I absolutely loved The Bank House! We stopped with a tour group and what a deal! The house is charming and the hosts, Noel and Margaret are a real delight! We were quite hungry and looking forward to outstanding tea! We were not disappointed. The scones were lovely, with cream and jam. The sandwiches were so great--- I loved the... More

Our tour group had a prearranged lunch here recently. We were promised the best scones ever, bottomless tea pot and lots of fab sandwiches. What we got was 1 cup of tea, 2 half sandwiches that had been made a while ago since the bread had gone stale and a small scone which had not risen properly. There was no... More

When in Sneem on the ring of Kerry, Ireland don't miss the chance for some good old fashioned Irish hospitality at the Bank House. I have been there twice and the house is as charming as the hosts. Margaret and Noel are friendly and her homemade scones and tea are wonderful. This is a chance to see a bit of... More
