We spent 3 nights at Keldum House, we enjoyed our stay very much, Bernadette welcomed us and made us feel at home straight away, our room was a nice size and very clean and tidy with lots of storage to put away our things, it was a quiet room also which was nice to have after travelling. Breakfast was lovely... More

We attended the walking festival in Tarbert during the May Bank holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bernadette was a very accommodating host. It was very thoughtful of her to allow guests to use the dining facilities and fridge (etc) seen as there is only one restaurant in town. The sitting room is fabulous for playing board games or simply... More

We were advised to avoid Limerick travelling south (coming from Connemara) and take the ferry. It turned out to be good tip. Keldun House is perfectly located in Tarbert so plan your trip wisely travelling north or south and stay overnight at Tarbert. Bernadette has created a sort of mediterranean atmosphere with the breakfastroom connecting to a nice deck at... More

We've stayed here for one night on our way from Galway to the Dingle Peninsula. From Galway we took the coast line and crossed the Shannon Bay by ferrie (much nicer route then the highway via Limerick!). The Keldun House is an excellent place very conveniently located nearby the ferrie harbor. Our twin room was very spacious and very clean... More

Perfect place, nice rooms and breakfast was great. Pat had a safe place for my bike and Bernadette made sure I ate well. The room was a good size and very comfy. Pat and Bernadette were the perfect host.

We arrived in Tarbert late in the evening assuming that the town with a ferry crossing would have a number of hotels to choose from. Wrong! We ended up at Hanrahan's Pub by the Ferry ramp. They suggested Keldun's. It was between that and a Hostel for my husband and my 11 year old daughter and me At that point... More

Travelling to the south of Ireland, I needed a quick overnight stay in the Tarbert area. Enter trip advisor, which highlighted the Keldun House....23 reviews and all excellent! It seemed a no-brainer, but could it be that good?. Right from the moment of arrival to when I left, Bernadette and her husband were the perfect hosts. I booked (and paid... More

We missed the second last ferry of the day and decided to stay in Tarbert for the night taking a chance on this B@ B in the main street. It was perfect, good room, everything worked, perfect hostess Bernadette, lovely breakfast and not a thing to complain about. Parking out the back, helpful advice given, it was all good.

Bernadette is a wonderful hostess. We arrived late in the afternoon and were shown to a sparkling clean, well decorated room with a spotless en suite. We were given advice on evening dining options, tourist info and ferry timetables for the morning. In the morning she cooked the best porridge I have ever tasted. Nothing was too much trouble and... Irish hospitality at its best! Lovely clean room with tea making facilities. The breakfast was great and cooked at a time of your choice. Nothing was too much trouble. Tarbert is small but offers several bars and shops aswell as walks and fishing, and of course the ferry over to Clare, it's an ideal place to stay while on your travels.
