With two friends, I was walking the Kerry Way, when making a stopover in Glenbeigh. We decided to stay in The Sleepy Camel for two nights and it was the best decision. It was a clean, homey hostel with comfortable beds and a vast kitchen. The owner was greatly friendly and asked about our costitution a bunch of times. The... More

Really enjoyed the three days I spent in The Sleepy Camel. The service was great and owners very accommodating. The hostel is positioned perfectly in the centre of Glenbeigh with plenty of activities to do in the area and lots of lovely cosy pubs. Looking forward to returning again :-)

If you're driving the Ring of Kerry, or if you just need a place to stay in the Glenbeigh area, this is the place to stay. Reasonable rates, great facilities, and an accommodating, kind couple running the place. I stayed here three separate nights and each was great. You can't go wrong with The Sleepy Camel.

A very nice hostel with a very friendly owner. Great to have a comfortable bed again. Also great that you can use computers for free, which is great for those (such as me) who don't have a smartphone.

After 28 km walking through the beautifull kerry way, this hotel was perfect. They welcome us very warmly, rooms were clean and cosy. And after walking daylong, the shower was "more than a shower, a rebirth!!" the bathroom was clean, water wasn't cold. :D I recommend it!!

Stayed for 1 night but would definitely stay again. More like a b&b than a hostel. Great facilities, fab location, very friendly staff, very clean and excellently maintained. Best Irish hostel I've stayed in.

Stayed here for a night while cycling around the Ring of Kerry. The owner, Con was very helpful and kind. I had booked a dorm room but he gave me a private one without any additional charge. The hostel is spotlessly clean, lovely sitting room with Internet, TV and lots of books. The breakfast area is in a conservatory and... More
