We stayed with Martina solely because of her proximity to the airport. We loved our stay so much, we felt compelled to write to recommend it to others. My girlfriend and I (in our 30s) stayed at the Shannon Lodge on our final night in Ireland in August 2013. If we had known how nice it would be, we would... More

The location of this B&B is ideal! We had to catch our flight out back to the states the next morning and were were only a few minutes away from the airport. We arrived late in the afternoon so we didn't have much time for sightseeing in the area so we had some time to relax and head out for... More

We stayed at Shannon Lodge on our last night in Ireland, and thought it would be just okay since it may be just a one-nighter for most people. We were wrong. Martina greeted us warmly and showed us to our extremely clean room, then gave us some ideas about what to do for the afternoon and where to have dinner.... More

Martina was very thoughtful to let us check in at a time that was convenient for us because she knew it was our last day in Ireland. We were driving up from the south so this allowed us to make some stopovers along the way. Martina was not in when we arrived but her husband showed us to our room... More

We stayed in several B & B's in Ireland and each had great hosts and charm. This one one had it all - including a roomy bathroom :) - and we so enjoyed our night there! Martina was a great hostess, cooked a delicious breakfast and was so interesting to talk to about Irish history. The room we stayed in... More

I have had the pleasure to stay in the Shannon Lodge, I have stayed here a number of times and in other guest houses and this is streets ahead of them all including hotels, the breakfast is far beyond your standard fry etc, free wifi and Martina is a great host. Do not go anywhere else.

Having just finished driving 5 days around southern Ireland it was a nice quiet haven near Shannon Airport. Martina is the perfect host with information, kindness and warm smile to put any weary traveler at ease. Comfortable rooms and a great breakfast had us on our way with plenty of time for our flight. Will make this a stop on... More

My husband and I spent a week in Ballyvaughn at a lovely cottage on the bay. Not wanting to have to get up in the dark and dash to Shannon for our return flight, I looked on Trip Advisor for suggestions for a single night near the airport. This one was excellent. The B&B is VERY easy to find. It's... More

Before review our lodging in Ireland, I took time to review all the web sites to be sure that I give them a fair review. The web page for this B&B is exactly as described and Martina is the perfect hostess. You will not find a better B&B in the Shannon area. It is close to the airport but quite,... More

i stayed at shannon lodge in between segments of a trip, whilst waiting for my partner to fly in. it was a 10-euro cab ride (5 minutes) from the airport, but there was no airport noise. shannon lodge is beautiful, gracious, the rooms *so comfy*, and the hostess saved my life with her knowledge of ireland and her assurances about...
