We stayed here for the Clifden Traditional Music Festival, and we are glad we did. It is only a few steps from the main streets with great bars, shops and restaurants, and yet so tucked away as to be secluded and peaceful. The whole house is clean and well decorated and the rooms are spotless - including the linen on... More

Stayed here on business recently & I was really surprised with the comfort and homely feel about the place. The first thing that hits you when you enter is the lovely smell of peat in the open fire in the reception area.I was greeted by very friendly staff that made me feel very welcome. The room was spacious & spotlessly clean.Breakfast was... We drove into Clifden and on the advice of the tourism center looked at 3 guesthouses and this one was by far the loveliest. Well decorated, large rooms, perfect bathrooms, lovely setting overlooking some sheep, and on a quiet street. Each night the host had a nice peat fire going in the lobby fireplace, took us a while to get... More

We stayed in Dun Ri on 5 and 6 August 2013. Michael our host provided us with a clean and comfortable room for two. The beds were extremely comfortable, fluffy pillows, warm duvets, hot shower and great breakfast. The staff in the breakfast room were very friendly and although busy, did not seem rushed and had time to smile and... More

We visited again recently and have nothing but a positive review to give. All our needs were met and we enjoyed our stay very much. A lovely room and excellent breakfast. Very friendly as always and helpful with information. A guest lounge is also available to relax. Wi-Fi is now available in all rooms and it worked perfectly for us.... More

My sister and I, together with our parents, stayed for two nights at the Dún Rí last weekend. We could not recommend it highly enough - nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Michael and Eileen, the rooms are quiet and well-appointed and the delights of Clifden are less than a minute away. The wide choice at breakfast time... More

For the third time now we have spent a couple of nights (three, this time) in Dun Ri Guest House, Clifden. The fact we return here the last couple of years when we stay in Clifden says it all. A beautiful house with own parking (might be needed in Clifden), nice, clean and spacious rooms. Very kind host and hostess... More

The Dun Ri is a guesthouse and not a B and B. it is more like a little hotel, which is fine, but it lacks the friendliness that you find at Irish B and Bs. Pros: large spacious clean room, very comfortable firm bed, hot shower, very close to town but on a quiet street, generous amounts of parking. Cons:... More

Stayed two nights and had a very enjoyable time. Parking is just outside and free, our room was well furnished very clean and comfortable. A good location in town with an easy walk to shops and pubs. Our breakfast was great, would recommend.

On a very cold and miserable Connemara day when we cancelled plans to go to Inishmore and called in to the Clifden visitor centre for somewhere warm and cosy to stay, how glad we were that they suggested amongst others, Dun Ri Guesthouse. It was indeed, warm, welcoming, well located and with adjacent parking so that we did not have... More
