we spent 2 nights there. So pleasant welcome from Eileen always available for helping in any circumstance (we needed a doctor and Eileen went to him to facilitate our take in charge). Very good breakfast typically irish, nice rooms and top quality service. Excellent place for a stay in the Connemara. Many thanks to Eileen. Bernard from France.

Even among their hospitable Irish countrymen, Eileen and Desmond stand out as helpful, friendly and personable. Our rooms were very nice for the price and the breakfast was wonderful. A can't miss B&B in charming Clifden!

The Morris family keeps the loveliest bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. Aside from the excellent service and wonderful accommodations, the chef's incredible pancake recipe will leave you begging to stay another night!

A belated review, but one I had been meaning to leave for some time. I thoroughly enjoyed a double room with ensuite for a cycling trip in Connemara in May 2014. I found the owners (Des and Eileen), to be very pleasant people and really felt they added a bit extra to what was already a lovely place to stay,... More

This B & B is nice enough, but the proprietor puts on the most sumptuous breakfast setting we saw in our two weeks in Ireland. In particular, she uses loads of beautiful fine china dishes and silver serving sets. The food is also top notch, and she even had scrumptious pancakes, something you rarely see on a B & B... More

Lovely welcome and kind and very efficient help with our travel questions. Delicious breakfast (pancakes we all raved about) and comfortable rooms. Old-fashioned charm, right in city-centre steps from the pubs if you're keen to be up and out late. Wi-fi worked well. Large shower head with best waterpressure we had for several days... Children welcomed and happy with their... More

This was one of our best B & B experiences while in Ireland. Eileen and staff were very friendly and helpful in assisting us travellers. The hotel is located centrally in the Clifden township. It is a quaint old building and furnished beautifully to provide at home away from home experience. The dining room was ornate and precisely laid out... More

Ben view is in a great location in clifden, owners were friendly and breakfast was very nice in a sweet dining room, bedroom was ok but unfortunately the shower was very poor and tv only had 4 stations tuned in and remote control for volume didn't work, Wi fi was intermittent in bedroom

Toured Ireland with my son and stayed at the Ben View House for two nights. Eileen was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was spotless and the breakfast was the best we had on our vacation. Clifden is a great town, with plenty to do. Good food, music, and Guinness! Already planning next trip and will definitely stay at the... More

Eileen warmly welcomed us & showed us to our luxurious & homely ensuite room. We were overwhelmed by the ornate dining room set for breakfast- real silver teapots! Breakfast=first class!! Didn't want to leave!! Desmond was a wealth of information on the area and a proper Irish gentleman.
