Very reasonably priced 1-night stay, we arriv3d on spec and were given a spacious, comfortable room at the front of the hotel on 2nd floor. Lovely crisp, white bedlinen, huge bathroom, relaxing pale grey decor. (There is no elevator so this room may not have been suitable had we been elderly.) Unfortunately there was no availability for a 2nd night,... More

We enjoyed our step-back-in-time overnight stay at Foyles. Right in the centre of the town, great welcome and huge rooms. Lovely staff and delicious breakfast. Would recommend the hotel to anyone wishing to enjoy an old-style hotel.

We stayed here two nights with my family and it was great. I had been to Clifden before and stayed at another hotel that was terrible, so I was a bit anxious about Foyles. However, it turned out to be great! The rooms were large and clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The decor is a bit old and... More

We have just returned from a great family break at this hotel. The hotel is dated but the quality of service provided by every member of staff here more than compensates for this. Food in the Marconi restaurant is top class. The breakfast is very nice and served hot to your table as distinct from the Buffet type provided in most... More

No wifi in room No parking Poor shower Clean room Nice interior Excellent restaurant - Marconi's Unhelpful staff- very matter of fact which isn't helpful when you don't know the area... Overheard staff talking about residents "drinking to much" and "not going to residents bar". Really annoyed me. Would I go back to hotel? No. Defiantly return to restaurant.

My wife and I stayed for one night at Foyle's when we attended a wedding nearby. The check in was friendly and quick. The breakfast was also better than average with a very good Irish fry. However the room was very dated and in need of a facelift. The TV was very dated, bathroom looked at least 20 years old.... More

A nice old. friendly hotel but in need of a 'facelift'. If you have heavy suitcases there are no elevators. However it was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms are also comfortable but the furnishings are old and fixtures are not always intact! It is central and as such has a great location.

It is a very lovely hotel with it's historical lobby. Breakfast was super. Location is great. Rooms are very clean and spacey. We stayed in a room with street view. It was a little noisy, but it did not bother much. Hotel personnel is perfect.. We enjoyed this hotel and the area before heading to our beautiful Connemara sky drive..

The hotel is a lovely old-fashioned (in the best possible way) hotel with an amazing Irish breakfast and a nice room with a surprisingly big and very comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is also a lovely cosy bar where you could stay for the evening no problem. The price we paid was excellent seeing as... More

I stayed at Foyles Hotel with a group of (mainly) seniors in May 2014, including on a Friday and Saturday night. I had been a bit worried beforehand about the possibility of noise on those evenings, given that the hotel is situated in the heart of small town. I need not have worried. We were not disturbed by noise and... More
