We travelled the Atlantic Way from Donegal as far south as Roundstone staying in various hotels along the route. Foyles hotel was head and shoulders above every other hotel we stayed in during our two week holiday. Highly recommended.

Although this homely hotel is dated I have to say I enjoyed my stay there. Firstly the customer service is second to none. From. Reception to breakfast and cleaning staff we were greeted with a smile and even the chap serving us on the second day remembered our choice of tea or coffee. I would gladly stay again.

Room keys didn't work. Hotel was more like a bed n breakfast.qith no lift.we were given a room on the 2nd floor and was quite a struggle with 2 small children. Location is good if u r looking for clifden town center. But its around half n hr drive to kylemore abbey. Breakfast was excellent.

I have been staying in Foyle's Hotel for a few years now and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The hotel staff are the best and become your family by the end of your stay. They are very helpful in getting any information you might need. Doesn't matter what it is. They are always ready to help. I wanted to go... More

on a recent trip to clifden stayed in this hotel. I think it is the first time I have been to a hotel that had a dog sprawled out on the floor in reception. I had requested a quiet room, which was spacious and clean on the second floor, but no lift access. The hotel was right in the heart... More

This is a lovely hotel positioned within the centre of the bustling coastal town of Clifden. A very warm welcome was provided with excellent staff. Room was large and well appointed and furnished. All facilities provided. The hotel is well decorated in a traditional way and the building is very fine inside. A Lovely experience and great value.

Old fashion hotel with huge rooms and a bathroom you could put a single bed in it. The most impressive was the food gourmet meals fit for a king. The breakfast is also freshly cooked as you order. The hotel is also in the centre of town and a perfect base for exploring connemara and Galway

We chose Foyles Hotel for an overnight stay on the first evening of the Arts Festival as it's central location enabled us to visit several of the venues quickly and easily. We had no expectations as it is many years since we last visited Clifden. We were charmed with Foyles. Yes the decor is dated but the beds are comfortable, the... More
