Julia and Paddy were great hosts during our stay. Julia also advised on the best places to eat in Clifden and booked them for us, which was very much appreciated. Breakfasts at the Quay House were delicious and varied. The room (Napoleon) was spacious and full of character with wonderful views. Thanks Julia & Paddy.

We stayed as a family at the Quay House and had an incredible time. The hosts are very special--incredibly welcoming and warm, and will go out of their way to help you with anything. They really make you feel like you are at home. The rooms are lovely, with many thoughtful touches, and the food at breakfast is absolutely terrific.... More

We celebrated our 35th anniversary with our first trip to Ireland in May and couldn't have picked a more perfect spot than the Quay House in Clifden. Julia and Paddy are the most welcoming, elegant inn keepers and treat their guests like royalty. From dinner reservations to day trip suggestions their help was perfectly on point. Their staff & family... More

The inn is right on the water and each room is spacious and beautifully and individually decorated. The breakfast was the best of our trip in Ireland and is served in a lovely glass conservatory. The owners are welcoming and warm, without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful find in Clifden, Connemara, Co Galway, Ireland. We frequently have holiday breaks in Ireland with our daughter and son-in-law and his parents from GB but finding the Quay House was really special. All credit to our son-in-law's dad who found it on the www. Our party stayed in the Quay House for three nights B&B and had... More

Wonderful stay. Beautifully decorated home with a fantastic warm welcome. We stayed one night and wish we could have stayed for more. We had dinner in Ballynahinch castle, a great night of traditional Irish Music in Lowry's bar, and wonderful breakfast in the Quay House before heading for the Aran Islands. We will definitely be back!

The Quay House was in a great location- walking distance to Clifden, which is a darling town! Our room was very comfortable, clean, and unique (all the rooms are a bit different). Breakfast the next morning was great, and we enjoyed admiring all the decor throughout the hotel.

As we drove up to a lovely building overlooking the bay, we knew we had picked well. Julia and Paddy's warm welcome and help getting settled and making dinner recommendations only confirmed this. We staying in the spacious Mirror Room and loved every moment. I am not one for antiques really, but the room was wonderfully appointed and spacious, with... More
