Had a very enjoyable stay at The station house recently. Very clean and spacious family rooms. Ready on check in at three. Fantastic kids club, the girls organising it great with children. My 6 year old twins really enjoyed it every evening. They loved going for their dinner with the other children. There was 2 evening meals for the adults... More

My family and I visited this hotel. While the staff on front desk were lovely and the hotel catered for children, offering several fun activities for them, we left disappointed. The room was far too warm and the noise level from the street excessive. The breakfast experience in the morning was lacking. Staff did not seem sure how to take orders,... More

Had been booked into a B&B in Cleggan for 1 night and it was a disgrace, so a very hasty phone call to our booking agent to find us an alternate room for the night. It was the Sunday of the long weekend, and within 10 minutes we were heading back into Clifden and into a cosy, clean comfortable and... More

Managed to get a cancellation on this very busy weekend with two connecting rooms which was great it was a family trip. Great location in the centre of beautiful Clifden and surrounding areas. We didn't have an evening meal here but breakfast was excellent, even the scrambled eggs! Everything very fresh. Facilities including pool and gym very good also. The... More

Excellent hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean well kept rooms. It is a family orientated hotel and we didn't find it a problem. All the basics are done really well and it's a really good three star hotel. They behave like a four star. Some things were not to our liking and I think that's the same for everyone.... More

The accommodation was excellent, modern and spotlessly clean. We were really impressed that the fridge was fully stocked with things like bread, milk etc. We would highly recommend the apartment for families When staying in the apartment you have full access to the hotel facilities, swimming pool, cinema and a playroom full of toys. There is also a hairdresser on... More

Booked in for 1 night but planned to book further three nights, however after 1 sleepless night and bull from front desk decided to move on. Staff very friendly and restaurant ok. Do not under any circumstances accept room 106 or probably any near it. After returning late from evening meal found room to be very warm, spoke to front... More

This was our fourth time returning to the Station House Hotel, as we have always enjoyed our visits there, this time was no exception. We've had a lovely break and had good food to go along with it. I made a few observations though this time as to our other visits..the receptionist when we booked out was far more friendlier... More

We visited for a week in July. The house is nice & big 3 bedrooms including 1 double, 1 twin with en suite & 1 single. Sofa turns into a bed. The pool was a big hit with the kids. They also visited the kids club on a few occasions. The minders were lovely & they liked going. It starts... More

My wife and I had a mid-week break in the Station House Hotel last week. The hotel is new though built on an old site: the now-defunct railway terminal from Galway City. The original station building has been interestingly incorporated into the facilities. And the old engine shed has been turned into a museum. The greetings were warm, both at... More
