We drove from Cork to this 'Castle' and were a bit disappointed! The photos prior to booking were a bit misleading,as the standard wasn't as we had anticipated. The weather was cold and wet,but the heating in our room was not on.We reported this, but no heating was turned on during our stay. The concept of the stay was fun; we all... More

We stayed here mid-week and found it a delightful get away with perhaps the best restaurant I've enjoyed in a small hotel in a long while -- delicious full breakfast and outstanding supper with scrumptious desserts. Hotel staff was friendly, rooms were charming and just what you would expect from a country inn in a former abbey/ private home. Lovely,... More

This might be the warmest, friendliest, most comfortable hotel we've stayed in. The food was delicious, the free afternoon tea and scones and the complimentary champagne happy hour were delightful and the owner, Paul. Is attentive to every need. The entire staff was welcoming. All in all it was a terrific stay.

What a charming castle to stay in! We were greeted by Paul who took pictures of us in the king's chair at the entrance. Then we were treated to a champagne reception! Dinner followed which was spectacular. The entire staff is so friendly. My room was very comfortable; I didn't want for anything. The grounds are gorgeous; well manicured with... More

This is an odd place to stay but we enjoyed it. It is a semi-castle which encourages you to stay for dinners where they have leprechauns jumping around which may be nice but seemed a bit touristy for us so we ate in town at a great place called Guy's Place. However the hotel/castle is in a lovely surrounding with... More

We spent a Sunday night here, unfortunately it was raining heavily so we didn't get to roam around the property too much. But the hotel was very cheerful and fun, nice spacious rooms. Showers and bath tub were great. Check out the bar, at least the night we were there, people come from all around to sing around the piano.

What a lovely, warm, hospitable and comfortable inn this is. Very warm and helpful welcome after a long drive from Dublin, followed by a really friendly complementary champagne reception. And what a room! I believe we had the best room in the castle, complete with a private balcony between 2 turrets. And the room was simply huge. We were totally... More

From the moment we arrived, it was like we wandered into a movie. The grounds and castle settings were lovely and the welcome history talk/champagne reception in the pub was fantastic. The food was superb and we were treated like family rather than guests. The owners were on hand day and night so you knew you were in good hands.... More

We were instantly mesmerized upon opening the door to our room. Our room was very large with a four poster bed, fireplace, and beautiful bathroom. Fluffy bathrobes were provided. We only got to stay one night, but we enjoyed a wonderful supper and a feast for breakfast. We would love to return here again. Wifi was only available in the... More
