We rented a house here for a week and I have to say We thought the house and location was excellent. We had a three bedroom house which was plenty large enough for 2 adults and 2 children. Our children ,11 and 9 yrs,had a great time as they found they could play pool and games in the clubhouse in the... Our family of 5 stayed in Clifden Glen for a week recently. We paid €600 for the cottage which we were really looking forward to. When we arrived we were very happy with the location and the facilities weren't looking too bad at all. Our cottage felt damp. The windows were dirty and there were cob webs visible inside. The... Clifden Glen is located a few kms from the city centre of Clifden. It is an arrangement of many older small houses for self catering, but the eqipment as well as the furniture was poor and carelessly done. We stayed there for one week, which was more than enough. Bed was old and shaky, first floor was loud, even some... More

My husband and I decided to have a few days away and this Hotel offered the best value. We were upgraded immediately to a lovely spacious room at the back of the Hotel. This room featured a gas fire which gave a nice ambience to the room. We had afternoon tea with hot scones served from 4-5 pm and then... More

Stayed here in August 2013 through Dream Ireland. What was good? Interior of the house was very clean and the house was comfortable. Great to have own tennis court, crazy golf and pub on site. Walk behind the holiday village alongside the river is beautiful. Now the bad- We stayed in number 48. On arrival the exterior of the house... More

Stayed for a few days at the Clifden Glen in July and didn't have any issues. House was basic but perfect for our needs. We were in full view of the lovely kids playground and the tennis courts. There was Tennis coaching on for the kids the week we arrived and is well worth checking out. There is a well... More

Outside of the weather we had a nice experience in 72, we had an issue with the main bedroom door not closing but otherwise satisfied. Ideal for children, they made loads of friends in the tennis courts and playground and we'll return there again. The decking was great, we got a couple of nice summer evenings at least.

Surprised at the negative comments as we had a lovely break here. Stayed in number 89 organised through the owner Karen who was really helpful. The house was clean, in good repair and nicely decorated. I'd brought some kitchen bits and pieces but needn't have bothered as the house was well equipped. The decking area overlooking the river was particularly... More

We stayed in 72 Clifden Glen for a week in July 2012. While the location and outdoor facilities were very good, we were extremely disappointed with the condition of the house itself. The problems we encountered ranged from a multitude of minor issues such as no TV reception, being unable to use both showers simultaneously, doors that wouldn’t close etc.... More
