Just back from a weekend at Cullintra House. We stayed in the Gallery room. Really nice room & lovely atmosphere. The room could do with a bit of a deep spring cleaning. The shower has no pressure & is nothing more than a dribble. The lady of the house is Particia Cantlon & she's wonderful. A great host, dinner was... More

My husband booked cullintra House for us for Valentine's night, and I have to admit, after reading through the reviews o was a little nervous about our visit. However! Our experience was brilliant:) We arrived after 5 as requested (it is a working farm so Patricia will be busy up until then). We were greeted by our host and she... More

What can I say about this wonderful old house that has so many little hidden treasures to it. The house itself is old and could do with a bit of a doing up not to get rid of the old style but to just make it more efficient. However this is a natural old house not trying to be vintage... More

We spent six October nights at Patricia Cantlon's Cullintra House and enjoyed every minute. The house is comfortable and the food is fantastic. Breakfast is served around 9:00 am making for a late start to your day but dinner is served later in the evening so there is still time for your days adventures. We were fortunate on several nights... More

You can expect a fantastic stay, welcome and outstanding food; this is not your average B&B. Patricia clearly loves what she does and so she chooses the dinner and timing. Adding to the whole experience is sharing the table with other guests and later the hostess. Having informed Patricia that one guest is vegetarian, she produced exceptional starters and main... My husband and I returned to Cullintra House after 18 yrs. and to be honest it was pretty much unchanged. Although the owner Patricia had informed us that many things had been replaced and upgraded it was nice that it has kept its overall character and it still remains the tranquil secret hideaway we remembered. We arrived after 5pm as... More

This is such a beautiful part of rural Ireland. Unfortunately I will not be recommending a stay at Cullintra house to others. From personal experience and knowledge of others who have stayed here the only words that comes to mind are: unpredictable and disappointing. The standards relating to hospitality, food and cleanliness vary spectacularly. I suspect Cullintra house boasted prestige... More

My husband & I arrived & were shown to the barn room, which needed the stove lit as it was quite chilly. It smoked so bad we could hardly keep our eyes from watering. We had our two dogs with us so were trying to get settled but were so disappointed with how unclean the room was. I'm petrified of... More

This is a great spot to spend a few days... if you are in the mood for an unusual and characterful stay. I get the feeling that this is a love it or hate it spot. Personally I loved it. The old manor house is set on a small farm and there are extra rooms in a converted barn. Everything... More

This was a recommended place for my partner and myself to stay, evening meal bring your own wine, and breakfast- we drove from Dublin on a cold and windy October day. It was dark on arrival and we were greeted at the door and told to look at all the rooms and pick one...I love old houses and headed up-stairs.... More
