You can expect a fantastic stay, welcome and outstanding food; this is not your average B&B. Patricia clearly loves what she does and so she chooses the dinner and timing. Adding to the whole experience is sharing the table with other guests and later the hostess. Having informed Patricia that one guest is vegetarian, she produced exceptional starters and main... My husband and I returned to Cullintra House after 18 yrs. and to be honest it was pretty much unchanged. Although the owner Patricia had informed us that many things had been replaced and upgraded it was nice that it has kept its overall character and it still remains the tranquil secret hideaway we remembered. We arrived after 5pm as... More

This is such a beautiful part of rural Ireland. Unfortunately I will not be recommending a stay at Cullintra house to others. From personal experience and knowledge of others who have stayed here the only words that comes to mind are: unpredictable and disappointing. The standards relating to hospitality, food and cleanliness vary spectacularly. I suspect Cullintra house boasted prestige... More

My husband & I arrived & were shown to the barn room, which needed the stove lit as it was quite chilly. It smoked so bad we could hardly keep our eyes from watering. We had our two dogs with us so were trying to get settled but were so disappointed with how unclean the room was. I'm petrified of... More

My girlfriend and I have spent two nights (15th and 16th of March) at Cullintra House. We drove from Dublin Airport through the Sally Gap (Wicklow Mountains) to Inistioge. We easily found the location as it was clearly displayed both on Google Maps, the car navigator and there is also a sign on the road. We have been welcomed by... More

This is a great spot to spend a few days... if you are in the mood for an unusual and characterful stay. I get the feeling that this is a love it or hate it spot. Personally I loved it. The old manor house is set on a small farm and there are extra rooms in a converted barn. Everything... More

This was a recommended place for my partner and myself to stay, evening meal bring your own wine, and breakfast- we drove from Dublin on a cold and windy October day. It was dark on arrival and we were greeted at the door and told to look at all the rooms and pick one...I love old houses and headed up-stairs.... More

My husband and I decided at the last minute to change plans and stay at a B&B in June. We wanted to relax and enjoy the countryside of Ireland. Cullintra House was just what we were looking for and Patricia was wonderful! We stayed on the upper level of the barn and enjoyed Patricia's artwork. We got to spend the... More

I like to travel and stay in quirky places; Cullintra House is a bit beyond quirky. When I was looking for places to stay, I emailed Patricia, who responded quite quickly- even though it was about 1 a.m. in Ireland (I am on the east coast of the US). She required my telephone number to call me, and further the... More

First of all my deepest sympathy on the sudden tragic death of your partner's mother on the morning of your visit. I gave you a choice of rooms and the one I suggested had lots of bright lights with a really warm log fire. All the logs for the fires are from the wood on the farm and split by... More

No signage thus very difficult to find Excellent food but no choice    Long delays and interruptions between courses by the eccentric and authoritarian owner. We could not trust the accommodation, paid for the meal plus an imposed penalty and left to find an alternative at 11.45 pm Definitely not worth the money or the risk

House is signposted on the road and at the gate and there are directions on my website . Dinner is 6 courses which takes time. We do not have someone to carry your bags which seemed to annoy you. More
