Kinsale is such a charming little area - very picturesque etc. We stayed at the Tierneys Guesthouse which wasn't hard to find. Have to maneuver the stairs but we had such a nice view o the town. We needed lots of internet assistance including confirmations, etc and the front desk staff was great - printed up what we needed. This... More

stayed at this B&B for a Saturday night. The room was compact, the shower and toilet was a very tight fit, you would have difficulty turning around in this 'ensuite' . I was glad we had a room at the rear as the noise from the adjacent pubs could still be heard, what it would be like at the front... More

Stayed here for 1 night as part of a 3 day mini break. Proprietor was very friendly, chatty and helpful. She also insisted on showing us the room, prior to paying, so we would be sure it was ok. Although the room was small and ensuite tiny it was more than acceptable. The breakfast, included in the price, was lovely... More

As a couple our impressions differed slightly. My wife felt the room too small and therefore somewhat overpriced. It was definitely the smallest room with ensuite we stayed at in Ireland. It's an old fashioned guest house. The rooms are scrupulously clean. The ensuite likewise very clean, accommodates only one at a time. It is tiny! However, everything required is... More

Stayed here just one night but found it to be very clean and met our needs perfectly! Loved the location. Easy walk to all locations we were visiting :) our room was on the second floor and the step were narrow but we had packed like so made the trip easily ! The breakfast was wonderful in the attached cafe!... More

Well, it's not easy to reach Tierneys Guesthouse, even if it's located on the Main Street of Kinsale, because of the multiple one way streets of the city: if you skeep a crossroad or a turn, you have to go around again and again trying to reach your destination. The guesthouse sign is not so visible too so keep your... More

Friendly welcome and help with bags to the second floor room. While small, the room had comfortable beds and met all our needs except wifi which was reliable only downstairs. The location is excellent and being upstairs in the back was quiet. Breakfast was in the bakery next door and very good.

On arrival we were apprehensive as there is no "reception area just a pokey little room and a hallway so narrow only one person at a time can pass through. The room while it was clean was to say the least, "basic". The tea and coffee making "facility" was actually on top of the wardrobe where the electrical socket for... More

I have to say that, from the moment we arrived, we knew that we would have a good time here. The room was basic but neat and tidy and full of character. The gent who checked us in made every effort to get us into a room that would be quiet for our daughter and we appreciated the attention to... More

We found Tierney's as a reasonable option during a very busy time in Kinsale. At first I was apprehensive, as there's no 'lobby' but simply a sign, a door, and a little office off the side of a hallway. But we had a very friendly welcome. We were led down the hall and up the staircase to see and approve... More
