We had a bit of a time finding the exact location, but once we found our B&B with the help of a local lad (after driving the twisty, traffic clogged lanes of Kinsale on a busy and touristy Saturday), we were warmly welcomed by Mairead and John throughout our stay. Location was steps from everything, great spot with parking in... more

I was worried about the Cloisters B&B after seeing how small the rooms can be online, but we were very pleasantly surprised! Our room was lovely, spacious, spotless, and very nicely decorated. The bed was by far the most comfortable of our week long trip!! The location of the b&b is convenient (Kinsale is small!), and Margaret provided us with... more

We had already stayed at 4 different B&Bs in Ireland before arriving at the Cloisters and the amazing mattress and beautiful spacious room was a real step up from the other places we had stayed at. It was about 10 euro more per person per night (more like 50 euros per person instead of 38 at most other places) but... more

After many nights spent in inns of varying comfort, my husband was so happy to fall into the bed at Cloisters. The inn is perfectly located with easy access to the town centre, but far enough from the pubs to provide a nice quiet sleep. John was very helpful from the start, with a map and dinner and pub recommendations.... more

My husband and I totally enjoyed our time in Kinsale and at the Cloisters B&B. John was very helpful in providing us with a map and recommendations in the town. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Only down side was the terrible water pressure in the shower. (I wasn't expecting it to be great,... more

Kinsale is a very cute town, and well worth a visit for a night or two. Cloisters is a great B&B and for us the highlight was their breakfast. It was the best we had in Ireland, and that is saying a lot because we had great food the whole trip. The location is perfect and John and Mairead do... more

The Cloisters was one of the nicest B & B's we stayed in during our 12 days in Ireland. The room was very nice with a big bed and luxury linens. Breakfast included a number of options. John was very helpful in providing directions to our next location. Kinsale is a lovely little town; we would have liked to have... more

This bed and breakfast was centrally located, and as a friend said, had the cleanest room he'd ever seen. The room was nicely decorated, and John and Maired provided an excellent breakfast, as well as advice for our ongoing travels. It was a delight to stay there. more

The Cloisters is well located in Kinsale, just a few blocks from the center of town, on a side street. The house is very plain from the outside, but the inside has been remodeled, and is very modern. Our room was large and very nice. The bed was the most comfortable of our trip. The breakfast was great. John was... more

Cloisters was the perfect place to start our trip to Ireland! After a 10-hour flight from Los Angeles to Dublin, then a 4-hour drive to Kinsale, the EXTREMELY comfortable bed at Cloisters was a godsend! So was the hospitality we received the minute we got there. John had a list and map of the pubs/restaurants in town, where to go... more
