We stayed here for 3 days off season in January and had a great time. The owners are wonderful people, very friendly and helpful. The ocean view is lovely, we got up very early one morning and witnessed a spectacular sunrise from the balcony. Started each day with a full Irish breakfast which was hearty and delicious. Enjoyed some drinks... More

After a long drive from Rosslare we were late arriving but a phone call to our hosts quickly reassured us of a warm welcome. It was indeed. The bar had a group of friendly locals and with much relief we relaxed over a few drinks.Jimmy was the perfect host and filled us in on all the things to do in Kinsale.By... More

We visited Kinsale for the Jazz weekend. Weather was so bad on Friday night that we went to the nearest pub which was The Blue Horizon. The barman, who could have been the owner , was so nice to us that I would definitely go back there . He gave us lots of information about Kinsale and its surroundings. He... More

Wonderful views of the sea from the room and breakfast room. Very cozy lounge with a coal fireplace for crisp afternoons and evenings. The pub is a great place to catch a late drink. It is about a 10 minute drive on a dark road into Kinsale, so that could be a drawback, but was not a problem for us.... More

Loved our first stay at the start of our tour. Drove here from Dublin. Mary and Jimmy and their daughter are the best. Mary managed to guide me in from Kinsale at night (GPS tried like heck to get me onto farm trails) Arrived in the dark and woke up to a great view from our corner room and my... More

Stayed here for two nights, lovely location and took someone's advice and asked for a sea view, this was a good call. Weather was sunny and waking up to that sea view was excellent. Accommodation was good and Mary helpful with where to eat out, had two lovely meals at Hurley's and the Speckled Door. We hope to be back... More

We arrived about 5pm and we were greeted by both Mary and Jimmy. The hotel is fantastic! Everything was spotless, lovely decor and the breakfast was delicious. We had the corner room overlooking the sea - wow what a view(room 14). Would fully recommend it to all.

Was staying near bye , called in for a drink . The views are amazing the bar is basic but on a sunny day it would be a dream to sit outside on one of the benches and enjoy the sunshine . Would recommend having a look at the bandb options.

For our honeymoon through Ireland we wanted to stay at least in one inn with the idea to combine a typical Irish evening in a pub with an overnight, the Blue Horizon was that inn. We were only a bit disappointed when we arrived there because the pub was only open in the weekend and because it remoted location the... More
