Pros: Nice location overlooking Oysterhaven bay Nice grounds Good Leisure centre Shuttlebus service into and out of Kinsale and the guy who drove us in (Tomasz (?), - treated my child like a Princess (got down to her level etc) Connie (This lady is a tremendous asset to this hotel, a smiley happy person who seemed genuinely interested as to... more

We're just back from a three night break at the Carlton. Booked the hotel over the net and got an excellent deal for three nights with dinner on one evening. Hotel a little difficult to find and further from town than we expected but the shuttle bus service was a nice surprise. Very helpful, friendly staff at reception- a sign... more

We had enjoyed our first stay there (Easter 2007 in a Garden Suite) so booked a couple of nights around St. Patrick’s Day based on a very good room rate offered on their website. Check-in was pleasant and efficient and our room on the ground floor was spacious (double bed and single bed plus chairs and table to relax at),... more

The location is spectacular - set in woods, overlooking the bay, the staff were really friendly, the rooms were class, the restaurant was nice, not a big menu but good options, the breakfast is good. A 10 min drive to Kinsale but they provide a shuttle service if you don't have a car/don't want to drive. Great spa! more

The hotel is located some 5km outside Kinsale on a peaceful site overlooking Oysterhaven Bay. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes by car to get into town, but the hotel has a wide range of facilities on site: lounges, restaurant, bar, indoor pool, spa. It is a very modern hotel, with good sized rooms, including ones with 'wet rooms'... more

We chose this hotel based on its location, however when we arrived we realized that to get to kinsale you needed to drive which was a little disappointing. The hotel is set on a beautiful location, on its own grounds with stunning views. Reception staffs are friendly and helpful; the food is ok, nothing spectacular. The rooms are a little... more

I have just returned from a weekend spa break with my friends . The spa itself was really great and the atmosphere very relaxing. The rooms were spacious and warm. The beds were particularly comfortable. The staff were exceptional , they were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good. more

We stayed here for Easter from Friday to Monday and absolutely loved it. It was so quiet sitting out on the terrace that you could hear a pin drop. The location is amazing with the most wonderful views. The bedroom was clean and spacious and the bathroom had everything you would need. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful.... more

I can't say enough about what a great trip we had with our new daughter. The staff fell over trying to accomodate us. Bedrooms great size with a very comfortable bed. Enjoyed the meal in the restaurant, felt there was a good choice on the menu and wine list. Staff really did excel. Great value for money and the setting... more
