This was our favorite b&b in Ireland. Chrissie and Tom were just wonderful. They're the kind of folks you think of when you imagine Ireland. Down-to-earth, so welcoming. When we visited (May 2008), there was quite a bit of construction going on in Kinsale that affected the Olde Bakery area. It's a bit of a test to find your way... more

The good: Breakfast was really the best we had all over Ireland very fresh and tasty. The owners are friendly and seem genuinely interested in talking to you. The room is gorgeous and spacious and very clean. The bad: It was a little hard to find, but not terrible. The bed was as hard as a rock. Other guests aren't... more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights over St. Patrick's day weekend (coincidence, not the point of our trip). After the first night we tried to find other accommodation, but because of the holiday it was not possible to do so easily. We decided not to waste our time searching around, but I kind of still wish we... more

The Olde Bakery is nicely situated in a quiet location, yet a very short walk from the center of Kinsale. We were greeted by Chrissie with incredible warmth and friendliness. She seemed like the aunt which I never had. Tom, although somewhat more reserved was equally friendly and warm. Our upstairs room was quaint and on the small side, but... more

Great location in Kinsale. Charming looking property from the outside. Comfortable inside but you really do have the sense of staying in someone's home which I found a little overwhelming. Breakfast is very good but served in the kitchen, there is just one table and you eat with the other guests. Hostess is also very present all the time. Didn't... more

We spent 3 nights with Chrissy at the Olde Bakery B & B. We were somewhat skeptical, since the bathroom facilities were "across the hall" but we were pleasantly surprised. While some of the rooms are ensuite ours only had a sink and we used the bathroom facilities across the hall, which were not shared with anyone else. The room... more

Five of us stayed here for two nights near the end of August...my Mom and aunt; my 22 year old daughter; and my husband & I. We drove straight from Cork airport, followed Tom's directions and didn't have much trouble finding The Olde Bakery. Kinsale is a very lovely town and the B & B is within walking distance to... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay with Chrissie and Tom at The Olde Bakery! It was close to everything, the rooms were comfortable and we felt very welcome. Breakfast was fabulous...Wexford strawberries, eggs with smoked salmon, brown bread...I want to go back now! more

We stayed at the Olde Bakery for 2 nights and the place cannot be faulted. Chris and Tom are the friendliest hosts you could ever wish to meet, you'll do nothing but smile during your stay. Combined with spotless rooms and bathrooms and a fantastic full Irish breakfast this place is a must. more

The Olde Bakery, was a highlight of our Bed and Breakfast experiences in Ireland. Thanks to TripAdvisor we found charm and welcome everywhere we stayed. Tom and Chris are just the salt of the earth. Warm, welcoming, and charming, this couple works hard to provide well for the guests staying at there. Breakfasts are hearty and delicious. I loved Toms... more
