We stayed one night here in late June. Shown to our room by the owner. Not informed of any other parts of the house we could use so staying in the bedroom or going out were our only options. This B&B is situated on a road that is not picturesque by any means. Directly opposite the front is a piece... More

Just outside the center of town. There is a steep hill to climb. Street and room were quiet, great bed, bath is large with a tub. We got the best WiFi of the trip. Phil offers a great breakfast selection and

We really enjoyed ourselves here. The rooms were fine and the breakfasts very well done. As for the comments about the host.....well, you just have to understand Phil. To Americans, she may come across very gruff and stern and strict, but......just kill her with kindness, give her a break and "humor" her a little. She does not take credit cards,... More

This was my first trip to Ireland. I took a taxi from Cork Airport to the B&B, which cost 30 euros (tip included in that amount.) I stayed in a room with a double bed and a good-sized bathroom with a tub. The room, which had a desk, a wardrobe, and a chair, was immaculate. The bed was quite comfortable.... More

Arrived here for a night, rang the door bell.. A woman came near the door and just looked at me as if I was some sort of monster.. Then she told me to change the angle my car was parked. She certainly is not friendly, anything but in fact. Gave us advice on where to eat, The White House, it... More

We were "greeted" by a clearly busy hostess who informed me that my booking, made months in advance, was not going to be honored the way it was sold. After a long day, I took the room anyways and was surprised to see Phil run out the door not 60 seconds after we arrived. The room was tiny and very... More

Even though this was close to town, not a place I'd go back to. As Liz stated "find another place to stay". I found Phil to be very cold and made me feel like I was not really wanted there. Seems like maybe Phil is burned out on the B&B's. She never told us about the sitting area outside in... More

We have stayed in many Small Hotels and B&Bs in Ireland. This is hands-down the worst. We arrived at 2pm and Phil greeted us with "you are lucky I am here!". No Hello....Welcome. She informed us straight away that check-in was between 4 and 6pm. She proceeded with...your room is ready I will show you up. Rooms were tiny. She... More

Great shock when we realised that we had been charged so much for a small room in a semi detached house on a housing estate. We chose it for secure parking as we had a hire car but the parking was in the front garden and local children were playing with hard balls around the car which made us rather... More

Enjoyed our stay at Danable. Good breakfast. Phil was a very accommodating host. Room was remodeled and very clean but quite small. No desk, just a chair in the corner. Bathroom reminded me of a cruise ship but worked well.
