This B&B was very nice, clean and had beautiful flower boxes decorating the house. It is a short walk down the end of the street into town, but it is a steep walk back up! The hostess was friendly, the breakfast was good. My only problems were that it was a little hard to find, especially with all the crowded... More

tiny room. toilet door handle broken and won't latch. no face cloths. toilet paper for tissues. no clock. hard water (yeah!). ten degrees over-night but no heat, although bed covers were warm. very close to town, but walk back includes two steep sections of road and footpath that the elderly or disabled might find prohibitive. breakfast typical. DOESN'T TAKE CREDIT... More

Kinsale is a beautiful town with pretty painted shops and scenic harbour. The good part of Danabel is the location and that you can see the harbour. However the double room we had was very small and Danabel is just a house on a residential street. It does seem expensive compared to the other places we stayed on a trip... More

Pros: - A short walk to downtown Kinsale. - Room is clean, bed comfortable. - Phil, the owner, can give quite a bit of local knowledge. - Decent wifi. Cons: - Does not take credit/debit cards. - Steep hill if you are walking into Kinsale. - Very limited car parking. You may need to park in the street. - Shower... More

Stayed one night in this little b&b , lady of the house was nice, gave suggestions of where to eat in town, shower power weak in room 2, clean but not spotless, lovely breakfast at a large shared table in the dining room. Compact room, did the job just fine.

Booked here with Phil so we would not have to be looking around on the first night of our trip. A comfortable stay with great beds. A short stroll down the hill into Kinsale, which is a very pretty town and an invigorating romp back up again to work off your dinner or a couple of pints of Guinness!

We pulled into a steep curvy side road in Kinsale thinking what could be ahead. When we almost reached the end we saw the B&B. We parked on the street & unloaded our luggage, went up to the entrance and were greeted by the owners niece. She was busy with someone else checking in so we waited. During that time... More

My wife, son and I stayed one evening at Danabel B&B, on November 25th. Danabel B&B is convenient to Kensale town center, just a very short walk. The beds were very comfortable and you will feel at home. The breakfast selection was great and the B&B included wifi for those requiring access to the web. Would definitely return to Danabel... Thanks Phil, we had such a great time, we think your b&b is lovely. Your suggestions on where to eat was great as was your local knowledge of where to find music. I loved the scenic (but steep) walk home from the pub! We had no booking and arrived late afternoon, but Phil was charming and welcoming. Brekky was pretty... More

Lots of places that call themselves B&Bs are really small hotels that include breakfast. This is the real thing...a home with rooms to rent. Our room was not large, but adequate for our needs. From our window we had a partial view of the harbor. A short walk down a hill takes you into to town. The breakfast was good.... More
