My wife, son and I stayed one evening at Danabel B&B, on November 25th. Danabel B&B is convenient to Kensale town center, just a very short walk. The beds were very comfortable and you will feel at home. The breakfast selection was great and the B&B included wifi for those requiring access to the web. Would definitely return to Danabel... Thanks Phil, we had such a great time, we think your b&b is lovely. Your suggestions on where to eat was great as was your local knowledge of where to find music. I loved the scenic (but steep) walk home from the pub! We had no booking and arrived late afternoon, but Phil was charming and welcoming. Brekky was pretty... More

Lots of places that call themselves B&Bs are really small hotels that include breakfast. This is the real thing...a home with rooms to rent. Our room was not large, but adequate for our needs. From our window we had a partial view of the harbor. A short walk down a hill takes you into to town. The breakfast was good.... More

Upon seeing some of the negative reviews about the owner, phil, we were worried..but we got here an hour early before check in and parked in a tiny lot, and she arrived a quarter to. Very friendly, she allowed me to pick which room of two that I'd prefer to stay in with my sister. We stayed in a cute,... More

Our room had a nice view to the harbor, the bed was large and the bathroom also. 5 minutes walk to the centre through stone stair but they are not many. Breakfast was the typical Irish one, but it was good.

We stayed one night here in late June. Shown to our room by the owner. Not informed of any other parts of the house we could use so staying in the bedroom or going out were our only options. This B&B is situated on a road that is not picturesque by any means. Directly opposite the front is a piece... More

Just outside the center of town. There is a steep hill to climb. Street and room were quiet, great bed, bath is large with a tub. We got the best WiFi of the trip. Phil offers a great breakfast selection and

We really enjoyed ourselves here. The rooms were fine and the breakfasts very well done. As for the comments about the host.....well, you just have to understand Phil. To Americans, she may come across very gruff and stern and strict, but......just kill her with kindness, give her a break and "humor" her a little. She does not take credit cards,... More

This was my first trip to Ireland. I took a taxi from Cork Airport to the B&B, which cost 30 euros (tip included in that amount.) I stayed in a room with a double bed and a good-sized bathroom with a tub. The room, which had a desk, a wardrobe, and a chair, was immaculate. The bed was quite comfortable.... More

Arrived here for a night, rang the door bell.. A woman came near the door and just looked at me as if I was some sort of monster.. Then she told me to change the angle my car was parked. She certainly is not friendly, anything but in fact. Gave us advice on where to eat, The White House, it... More
