There were five of us travelling. We decided to stay at this Guest House (rather than a small B&B feel) just for a change of pace. They had all five of us in one room, which I thought would be rather tight. It was great. The room was huge, and so was the bathroom! Breakfast was typical, with a couple... more

Myself and a group of 20 friends stayed in the Friars lodge for two nights recently. For convenience we had rooms assigned to members of our group prior to arrival but were asked to change our arrangements upon check-in for no apparent reason. While we happily obliged it did cause some hassle on our part. Following check-in, we went out for... more

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Friar's Lodge. It had the feel of a small, cozy hotel with all the charm and personal touch of a smaller B&B. The room was large, clean, and bright and had a lovely view over the rooftops of Kinsale. It was a short walk to the shops and restauraunts but just... more

We stayed at Friars Lodge for one night in January 2009. We loved this lodge. We found that the staff were extremely friendly, our room was large, spotlessly clean and we were served a very nice traditional Irish breakfast in the morning. The lodge is tucked away on a quiet street in the middle of Kinsale - only a few... more

A very warm Irish welcome is what you get when you stay at Friars Lodge. The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable with TV, coffee making facilities and ensuite. The breakfast is so tasty and a good variety is on offer. The hotel is 5 mins away from the centre of town where you are spoilt for choice on where... more

Friars Lodge was great; huge room and bathroom, very clean and bright. Bottled water, chocolates and the weather report card were added bonuses, as was the attached parking. Breakfast was delicious. The location was good, only a short walk to the center of town. I would definitely stay here again. more

I have never written a review before, but felt compelled after staying this weekend in Friar's Lodge, Kinsale. On arrival the woman at reception was extremely friendly and told us everything we needed to know about, parking, room, facilities, breakfast etc. We went to our room and it was more than just that, it was a suite - a huge... more

I stayed here with a tour group. Nice newer hotel with very large rooms. Quick walk to center of Kinsale. Reception area has nice couches and good books to read about the area and a free glass of sherry. Very welcoming desk staff. Breakfast was quite good, especially the smoked salmon and eggs. Not associated with the hotel, but consider... more
