We decided to stay at B&Bs during our entire trip to experience the Irish hospitality we've heard so much about. In doing so, we have met so many friendly travelers (some have become friends) and have gotten to know all of our B&B hosts (kind of like staying with family or friends). If you do not enjoy or expect this... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in May with my wife's sister and her husband. It was a difficult decision on whether to stay at The Glen or in Kinsale itself. Thankfully we made the right decision, this place has more than a touch of class and is absolutely wonderful in every respect and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay... more

The Glen Country House is one of the most beautiful places we stayed in Ireland (out of 5 total). It's a bit more up-scale and pricey though for a group of casual travelling friends. It would be best for a family or a romantic trip in my opinion. The breakfast is great and the grounds and rooms are beautiful. The... more

My wife and I have been visiting Ireland since 1996, and this is by far the most charming B&B we've ever visited. Diane and her family make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. Her breakfasts are simply AMAZING - - we recommend the fish cakes. Afternoon tea was also a nice surprise. The area lends itself to hiking... more

From the moment you enter the property, you are in another world. The house and view across the Atlantic are breathtaking. Diana welcomed us warmly, and showed us to beautifully appointed and comfortable rooms. The house quickly became our home from home, with the added advantage of Paddy and Chloe, the family dogs. Diana's cooking is as good as any... more

One can only imagine the perfect B&B, but The Glen is all that and more. We were in evey way, totally satisfied with the setting, the house, the room, the breakfast, and warm hospitality we received. A instant relaxation from the hustle and bustle of travel with a quick drive to some of the best restaurants in Kinsale. You must... more

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Glen Country House. I was responsible for planning a girl's trip for seven of us (moms, daughters and aunts) for July and knew that we would be staying in the Cork area for our first two nights. I was initially interested in staying in Kinsale, but the B&B's were starting to book... more

For my wife and I the perfect Irish B&B would have the following - be situated in a beautiful Georgian house set in woodland with views out to sea, warm comfortable and beautifully decorated bedrooms and fantastic cooked breakfasts (and tasty alternatives for when you cannot face another rasher of bacon). To this the Glen added two ultra friendly soft... more

If you have in mind a "dream" bed and breakfast in Ireland, The Glen would be it. From the drive through Kinsale, around the estuary, onto the property and up to the house, everything was picture-perfect. The grounds were beautiful, everything was beginning to bloom. Diana greeted us at the door just like we were family. She and Guy were... more

Glen Country House is a lovely small country inn. It is out in the country, a bit away from Kinsale, and that is what we liked about it. Away from the tourist crowds and buses of Kinsale, but close enough to sightsee there. It is about a 15 minute drive around very scenic, winding country roads into Kinsale and about... more
