My family and I had a lovely night at Rocklands House. John was a great host and the location is perfectly set just out of town. Views are lovely and breakfast was delicious. My parents stayed in the self contained cottage which was set away from the house and had it's own outdoor space and kitchette. Wonderful!

Our room was large and had amazing views over the harbour. It was nice to have so much space for a 3 night stay. Tea and coffee facilities excellent and replenished daily - it was a nice touch to have a fridge that guests could use as well. John was a lovely host - very enthusiastic and genuine. He seemed... We booked a double/single room and just expected to pass through. Upon arrival, John went into town and booked us reservations (at Max's since Fishy Fishy was booked), came back and picked us up to drop us back in town. Was walkable but it was getting late. The rooms and house were very clean and the breakfast was delicious. The... More

We booked one double and two single occupancy rooms here and we all found the rooms very clean and luxuriously appointed as was the rest of the property. The rooms were well sized and the beds very comfortable and ours had a delightful view over the garden looking down to the river and beyond. John was very welcoming and friendly.... More

What did we prefer : - The astonishing view - The fabulous breakfast with fresh fruit salad, home-made scones and delicious pancakes - The warm hospitality of John - The peaceful environment - The cleanliness of the place Difficult to say but everything was there and we would have liked to stay longer for sure.

Up on the hill with some lovely views from the rooms. John was most helpful and made us feel welcome. Good breakfast made to order. The rooms were clean with fresh towels daily. The walk to Kinsale wasn't too far, although we could have done without it at night so sometimes we took the car. Thanks for a lovely stay... More

We recently enjoyed a one night stay and wished we could have stayed longer. John was a wonderful host, providing us with helpful suggestions for exploring (and eating) in town and interesting insights on local attractions. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet, with amazing views over the river to enjoy the complimentary tea and coffee facilities (and bottled water... More

An amazing house in a stunning location - our room looked out onto the river. The room was lovely and peaceful, and the bed was super comfortable. And the breakfast was delicious! Kinsale is a beautiful town and this was a perfect place to stay.

This B&B is honestly one of the best places I have ever stayed at! Very comfortable, spectacular views- lovely friendly owner and a magnificent breakfast! It is walkable to town and in a very peaceful part of Kinsale. I would highly recommend it.

My mother and I stayed for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. John was a very welcoming and helpful host; he secured a reservation for us at a wonderful restaurant, Fishy Fishy. Breakfast was delicious, and the views are indescribably beautiful. Would recommend, and hope to stay again soon,
