It was ok. Mary was nice but very no-nonsense. The location was great, it was close to everything in town. The rooms were simple but very clean. Breakfast was very typical and hearty. I will come back since the location is hard to beat The town was lovely!

We had an enjoyable stay with Ms. Mary who is funny and energetic! She instructed our husbands to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs! We stayed in a triplesingle bed room which was comfortable with quilts and wool blankets! The breakfast was a delight and if you walk down to Tap Tavern, you will see Ms. Mary there... More

We stayed here for a night during our trip to Kinsale; as others have mentioned there was a note on the door directing us to go to the pub down the hill to get the key. We found Mary there, and she walked with us up the hill to let us in. The room was clean and simple with 2... More

If you are looking for fancy this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for someplace with charm and character this is it. Mary is a wonderful hostess and certainly makes you feel at home and invites you down to the Tap Tavern, which she also owns, where she could serve you a drink. The rooms... More

Quaint little B&B great location close to heart of town but also very quiet, Mary's hospitality was generous and don't be surprised if you are invited down to The Tap tavern for a drink as she is the land lady down there. Best Irish Breakfast and pot of tea I experienced in all of Ireland portions are large.

Mary is a 'hoot' - our double-occupancy room was clean and roomy. Our friend had a single-occupancy room that was very small. Good breakfast and Mary was very attentive during the meal - loved the quaint feel of the breakfast setting. Great location with easy access to downtown.

We arrived about 3pm and there was no answer at the door. We went back two hours later and there was a note telling us to go down the hill to the pub to get our key. The rooms at Sea Gull House are very small. No place to put your luggage. The heater worked well for the room but... More

Mary O'Neil's bacon is undoubtedly the best in all of Ireland. She knows how to welcome visitors warmly. Also highly recommend the ghost tour. Kinsale was our favorite towns in all of Ireland. -Mike and Allie, Illinois USA

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mary's B&B, The Sea Gull House. It is an old fashioned place, but cozy and clean. Mary is a treat, and took care of us. Enjoyed sitting with her by the fireplace at her family's Tap Tavern down the hill. A great experience.

Loved our stay. Would have made it a multiday option in Kinsale to see all of the town and sites. Mary was wonderful and breakfast was very good. Their pub was down the hill and was the locals hangout and music was brought in among locals as well. Loved the quaint bar and atmosphere. Kinsale was beautiful.
