Recently my sister and I took my mum to Kinsale for her birthday. I had eaten in Jim Edwards many times before over ten years ago so was really looking forward to going back there again. They scrimped on our main dishes and gave us one small dish of veg and one little bowl of chips between us all. They... more

Restaurant/ B&B. The restaurant is very good - specialty is seafood. Rustic atmosphere, but nothing fancy. Rooms are small, clean and great to just hang your hat while you explore the town. Breakfast is very good too and included in the price. more

We have just returned from an overnight stay in Jim Edwards B&B in Kinsale. Whilst we stayed in the bed and breakfast we also ate in the bar. The food was excellent tasty, fresh and hot however as we were at a table by the window - and not in the waiting staff line of vision - the service was... more

We dined here on a 3 day trip to Ireland. We only had one night in Kinsale so we looked at many of the restaurants in the town before choosing Jim Edwards. We were not disappointed. The food & service were excellent. We are both seafood lovers & the oysters with beurre blanc sauce were fantastic. We loved it so... more

Four of us dined at the famous Jim Edwards in Kinsale in March 2006. The steak and lamb were delicious, however, the service was terrible. The restaurant was not overly crowded, and our waitress was observed standing around chatting with other staff while we waited for refills, the check, dessert menu, etc. The food is worth the trip, however, be... more

I had "Rack of Lamb" with potatoes au'gratin. Now, I have order this entree many, many times in many different cities & countries and this was "by far the BEST Rack of Lamb" that I have ever eaten. The potatoes were "as good, if not better, than what I have had in France"!!! That plus a nice bottle of wine... more

This restaurant serves the best steak I have ever tasted, fillet - cooked to perfection, how do they do it! If you want to visit you must book in advance, this is the best in town. more

We ate at Jim edwards twice during a 4 night stay this would have been more if not for the availability. The meal was fantastic with a reception to match. Make your own mind up but i would advise a trip here if in Kinsale more
