On the recommendation of locals and family, I dined at Jim Edwards on a Saturday, early December 2013. We ordered the Seafood Chowder. The bread provided was far from fresh. The chowder could best be described as a packet-tomato soup with chunks of one type of fish, not the variety of fish one would expect in a town like Kinsale.... More

I've been traveling to Europe for 40 yrs; been to Ireland 24 times - I know what to expect, I am a good traveler and a courteous individual, I don't complain because things are different than home - - ever. I'm not sure where these folks that are saying the "room was bright, comfortable and very clean" stayed but it... More

In the town centre, close to tourist office. Our room was quite small but bright, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, the best of all the b&b we've been:fresh fruit, cereals, cheese and a choice from a menu including fresh fish!!They make us a discount in the dinner for being guests. The only complain is that it's... More

Highly recommend this B&B as a great value place to stay. The location is excellent, right in the centre of Kinsale. Noisy at night if your room looks out on the street but if you're out yourself you won't notice! Not really suitable for kids, romantic couples, elderly visitors for that reason. Breakfast was excellent. Freshly baked bread & freshly... More

We has a wonderful couple of days here in Beautiful Kinsale. The rooms are large and clean and the staff welcoming and friendly. The food is supberb and the seafood top notch and as good as some of the better known restaurants in the area if not better. There is a huge selection at breakfast and the staff could not... More

We really enjoyed our stay here a week ago. Nice clean quiet rooms, and the restaurant downstairs was perfect after a long day of driving. The parking was a little bit of a challenge but we found a couple of spots on the street right in front. I don't know if we were able to park free there because it... More

Our group of five stayed in two rooms at Jim Edwards for one night in May 2012. Fantastic location; comfortable rooms. We loved the restaurant right downstairs. Either the rooms' walls were a bit thin or our neighbors had their TV volume at an obscene level (or both). Very happy with Jim Edwards overall.

Just back from a night in Kinsale with 3 friends and feel compelled to write a glowing review of our visit. Spotless comfortable rooms with great beds for a good nights rest. We all thoroughly enjoyed last nights tasty meal, both steaks and fish dishes were a real hit. Lovely selection of vegtables and garlic potatoes were just delicious as... More
