I cannot say enough wonderful things about the McEvoy family. Noreen, Phillip, their daughter, and of course little Scampi. They were all so incredibly friendly from the moment I booked the room, through my room change request, until we checked out. Noreen even went way above and beyond by contacting a pharmacy for me so I could find a medication... More

My mother and I stayed there a few nights ago and could not have chosen a better place. Easy walk to all the lovely shops and restaurants. We had a little trouble finding it - but that was more about the tiny streets in Kinsale than the actual location. The landlords were by far the nicest people to stay with... More

We were made so welcome by owners Philip and Noreen. The room was comfortable, and the breakfasts were fantastic--all freshly prepared. They had a breakfast menu with items not seen on other menus, such as a crepe with warm fruit and maple syrup. They also had scones and cream in the afternoon. They were so ready to help in any... This B&B was the best of the 5 we visited. All the creature comforts, great breakfast, and friendly hosts. You can tell the owners take pride in getting everything just right. Our expectations were exceeded.

We stopped at this B&B at the recommendation of Rick Steves, and were not disappointed. The owners were extremely welcoming and our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The building itself is like a maze, well worth exploring. The breakfast was completely delicious, in a very beautiful room. There is a living room with deep comfy sofas and a... More

The welcome we received from the owner and her husband really made us feel at home. Kinsale is a pretty complex sort of town and we had quite a bit of trouble locating the place, but it was well and truly worth it! We were shown to our very comfortable room (excellent Wi-Fi) and to the dining room where an... More

Kinsale was our number one city in Ireland! From the coastline to the forts..to the city itself--so quaint and beautiful! We loved the friendly and helpful people (we were escorted to the laundry!) and coming "home" to the Old Presbytery each night made the day even more special. Noreen and Phillip were helpful and very accommodating. Our room was beautiful... More

Really nice place to stay in the center of Kinsale. The food is very good - especially the little cakes and biscuits in the afternoon. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. We had a very good room at the top of the house with a fantastic balcony overlooking Kinsale.

Upon our arrival for a 2-night stay, hosts Philip and Noreen cheerily informed us that we'd been upgraded to a two-level, two-bedroom 2-bath suite! It was lovely. The king bedroom was up a spiral staircase, very comfortable bed, while we kept most of our luggage downstairs on the queen bed. There was a window alcove upstairs with a sofa and... More

We stayed at the Old Presbytery on the one night we visited Kinsale on our tour of Ireland last October having read other reviews on TA. It was everything a first class B&B should be. An easy stroll to the center of town with its myriad of pubs and restaurants. A very friendly welcome and an immaculately clean and well... More
