What can I say? Well, quite a lot! The Old Presbytery is by far the best place I have ever stayed in all my travels. The proprietors, Noreen and Phillip, were friendly, warm, accommodating, helpful and extremely gracious hosts. The room I stayed in was lovely, tastefully furnished, cozy and very clean. The afternoon I arrived, after quite a long... More

We stayed in the penthouse suite which was a great size for my wife and I and our 3 kids. The breakfast was very good, the service really nice, and Kinsale is incredibly charming. Easy walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go.

Kinsale was recommended by an Irish friend. I now see why. It's not like a lot of Irish towns (not that they aren't wonderful as well), but it has a more medieval feel with narrow streets winding around the town. We were so glad to stay at this darling small hotel. Each room has it's own character. We were a... More

The Old Presbytery is a gem. From start to finish the hosts Noreen and Philip are helpful, accommodating and diplomatic. Their home must be a challenge to keep clean but it is spotless and the rooms are very comfortable with everything one would need. As for the breakfast; Devine. I won't repeat what other guest have said but the fresh... More

I love Kinsale and this was my fifth trip to this beautiful little town by the sea. I have stayed in four other places prior to The Old Presbytery and while they were all good, the Old Presbytery was exceptional. The major attributes of the property are the owners and I will get to that later. The property itself is... More

We stayed in Room 6, which was perfect for us as it was the end of the trip and we were ready for a relaxing stay, which included some days staying in our room for half a day. Breakfasts were on par with a five-star hotel. Phil and Noreen were always ready to cheerfully answer any questions, find you non-caffeinated... More

Firstly, I would definitely recommend a stop in Kinsale on your Ireland trip. Lovely town. The Old Presbytery is right in town, adjacent to streets with shops and restaurants, and only a couple blocks from the harbor. The only drawback was that we had the room on top floor, so 5 flights of stairs, no lift for suitcases. (We knew... More

So many nice things have been said about the Old Presbytery, additional remarks are certainly not necessary, but we loved our brief stay there. Rooms were great, beds firm, quiet space, comfortable, close to everything in town so we walked to dinner nd to the pub for music later that night. When you read about the amazing breakfast - the... My husband and I had a wonderful 2 night stay at Old Presbytery in Kinsale. It's perfectly located, extremely easy walk to everything in town, including all of the great restaurants. It's obvious that Philip is a former chef - you can't beat the breakfasts here. The cashel blue cheese omelette is awesome. In the afternoons, they provide wine, tea... More

The Old P is lovely with a wonderful setting in town close to all the shops and restaurants. We had a beautiful room and bathroom and absolutely wonderful breakfasts. Noreen is a most gracious hostess!
