We had a great experience here. Compared to other B&Bs and hotels we had previously stayed in, this was a bargain for the superior level of accommodations. Breakfast was great. The manager was able to give us great directions and pointers towards what was worth our time in the town. The bathroom had a separate heater...much appreciated! more

It was pouring with rain when we arrived in Kinsale ,and the hotel, that my friend had booked was disgusting (window didn't close etc) so we wandered round to look for 2 rooms for that night and were very lucky to find that The White House had availability. We were given a warm welcome and the rooms were clean, quiet... more

Ok, I expected Kinsale to be overpriced, but this is ridiculous (or "cat" as we say in Ireland). We were charged €120 for a *very* basic room on the top floor over an adjacent to the pub of the same name- so a warm room. To alleviate said warmth, open the windows at the front: hear the music at the... more

We stayed for one night at the White House and were impressed by its quality. This is NOT a business hotel with all that you expect from that, instead it is a pub with about 20 rooms. The rooms we had had all been recently redecorated to a high standard. Large beds, flat screen TV, ironing board, iron, hair dryer,... more

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at this pub and must admit that we were extremely surprised. There is a seperate reception area where we were greated by the friendly manager. Our room really took us back - it was decorated to a modern high standard, complete with nice leather sofa and stylish soft... more

We were staying in a B & B in Cork but were asked to move rooms 3 times in a week! So we decided to leave. Travelled to Kinsale on the Friday and called in at Tourist Information Centre and found a room at the White House. Excellent room, spacious bathroom, good food, friendly staff - nothing too much trouble,... more

The White House Hotel in Kinsale, Ireland was a great find. We'd left finding a room in town until late afternoon and were pleased to find this small hotel right in the middle of town. The staff was friendly, the breakfast nice, and the room was comfy. You can walk to everything in town from this hotel. The pub downstairs... more

We stayed at the White House for 2 nights and we really had a pleasant stay, unlike the B&B in Cork. I had room # 1 ~ the best room I stayed in throughout Ireland. If I return to lovely Kinsale, I will stay there again...specifically room # 1. The restaurant and bar are also very good, a bit expensive... more

We stayed at the White House over New Year's Eve and had a great time. The pub downstairs serves nice food in a warm environment and has a great staff. The attached restaurant is quite nice and worth a visit. Our breakfast was included and quite delicious. The room we had was simple but well-maintained. The bathroom was small, but... more

Stayed here Saturday night in December, booked on the way into Kinsale at the last minute via guide book. Great central location, the car park was handily placed round the back of the hotel, but then you had to go through the outside smoking area which is not the greatest. It was a little bit smelly going up stairs, but... more
