On a trip along the south/western corner of Ireland - Kinsale was our first stop after flying into Cork. A short drive (very windy road) from Cork airport - takes you into Kinsale. A very nice fishing village with quaint shops and great food. Could be very touristy but since this was April, was fairly quite, The hotel is nicely... more

The Old Bank house is not as glossy as the pictures on their website but it's a nice place to stay in Kinsale. It wasn't as fantastic as I guess I expected. Go more for the town of Kinsale than anything. The town really is as charming as the pictures make it look but I will caution you that much... more

Just back from a weekend away with 40 others for a friend's birthday. We were spread over three hotels, the old bank house, the blue haven and the old presbytery. All 3 were given the thumbs up but the old presbytery wins for value for money. The Old Bank House however gets my vote purely because of their fabulous all... more

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Old Bank House for a weekend in March. The weather for the weekend was really nice, we got to walk around the town and the hotel is right in the middle of the action. Kinsale currently has a lot of road works going on at the moment and its hard to navigate through.... more

Stayed here recently for 2 nights and I can highly recommend it. The hotel itself is full of old world charm and is extremely comfortable. The location is second to none with Kinsale right on your doorstep. We could walk everywhere with the convenience of location. Breakfast was excellent to top off a great getaway experience. Comes highly recommended. more

Now - great hospitality as soon as we arrived, with lots of friendly advice. Very nice room, traditional with a modern twist. Clean and cosy. Great breakfast. Perfect location in central Kinsale. more

The only downside of this hotel is that the walls are thin. If you can get past that, this is an amazing hotel. It is in the very centre of the town, a short walk from all site...including Charles Fort. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is very clean and modern. The Breakfast is amazing, and the staff is... more

We stayed here at the end of October for the Irish bank holiday during the jazz festival. We were met with a great welcome and made to feel very much at home during our stay. Marguerite and Liane were very accommodating and literally catered to our every whim! Their local knowledge was great. The Jazz itself was great, especially The... more

We stayed in the Old Bank House for 3 nights at the begining of Nov. It is a really lovely guesthouse in a great localation in the town. We would of like a bar/lounge for guest to have a drink. Its only a small negitive, the room was lovely (at the back of the house) decor very in keeping with... more

We were there for 2 nights with friends. The place was not full. When we arrived the welcome was very offhand from a rather untrained girl but this was the only problem area (she was either shy or untrained). Our double room had a huge and very comfortable double bed and 2 large windows overlooking the main street (corner room).... more
