Visited Kinsale in March 2015. I had one of the front rooms in the hotel overlooking the town en harbour. Nice and sunny in the very large room in the afternoons. large bathroom /shower also very clean. Enjoyed my stay. Will visit Kinsale again and definitely stay in the Old Bank Hotel again.

We stayed only 1 night which is enough as there's not much to do in picturesque Kinsale. + hotel was in best location ++ Elaborate good breakfast Clean & cosy room but a bit antiquated - bad insulting, you hear the ones next door in the toilet - staff was o.k, no personal attention. (We didnt really mind) but its... More

We had two room at the Old Bank House. Mine was tiny, but acceptable. My daughter's was larger, but she had problems with the water pressure in the shower, no bottom sheet on her bed, and stained (blood?) curtains. Right from the start, I didn't feel good about the place. We had to check in at the Blue Haven Hotel... More

We visit Kinsale frequently as, along with Dingle (too far), it is one of the nicest towns in Ireland. Gateway to beautiful scenery in West Cork (Wild Atlantic Way), great pubs and restaurants and a perfect break for a few days. We have stayed in a number of places there and booked the Townhouse through Hotels.com at €70 per room... More

Enjoyed our stay here. Great atmosphere, slightly old fashioned. Felt very romantic with high bed, beautifully decked out bedrooms, clean and tasteful. Bathroom spotless. Breakfast very good. Able to provide alternatives, eg gluten free and de caffeinated tea/coffee. Had a French feel to the whole experience. Also very central to all activities and the town itself. Definitely a repeat visit... More

The Old Bank is located very centrally in Kinsale. Beds are very comfortable with a pillow menu. Bathroom is tidy. You do need to turn down heating. Lovely touch toiletries. Iron, hairdryer, trouser press & tea coffee in room. Only let down was coffee sachets by Nescafé. Barry's tea needs a good partner. Staff are wonderful. Lift to all floors.... More

Did not stay here but had breakfast two mornings running as it was so nice. Super service. Had the usual Irish breakfast. So tasty. Top quality ingredients - best black pudding I had in ages. Only two tips: If you order tea you get a nice pot. But ask for two teabags as they only put one in and tea... More

The rooms are not up to the Ritz but certainly good for a relaxing break in the lovely village of Kinsale. They are spacious, well maintained and have decent basic fittings (the TV is mediocre) , The hotel is "petite"and very calm with excellent breakfasts - so overall VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY The best part : the very friendly... Let me start by saying we are picky. That said we set our expectations reasonably considering this is a "guesthouse" and not a true hotel. Our expectations were more than met. The room was plenty large and very clean and comfortable. We were in room 8 on the front side corner of the building. The view was wonderful and we... More
