The Trident is a very nice hotel well located at the marina in Kinsale. I've stayed here a couple of times recently. There's always a nice buzz at the hotel and the restaurant/bar are lively and food is good. Rooms are usually fine. On one occasion my room was a little shabby, but I had been warned when booking that... more

What a fabulous location. Our room looked out to the wharf. In walking distance to everything. We had a sunny day and walked around the Scilly Walk to The Bulman pub, which was super neat! Vista is a great little place to grab a bite to eat and a drink too; right on the water. The best brown bread and... more

If you're looking for a place to connect with the people and land of Ireland in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere with all the amenities, this is the place! The enchantment of this seaside village is easily accessed through the graciousness and simple conversation with the staff at the Trident. If you not only want to be pampered but learn... more

My husband & I recently stayed for 2 nights at the Trident in the Scilly junior suite & I really liked the hotel. The staff were very friendly. The room was large & overlooked the harbour with it's great views. The decor might be a bit dated but for me that added to the charm. I loved the fact that... more

This was our first stop on our 10 day driving tour of Southwestern Ireland and we were already feeling lucky. Our room was overlooking the water and was very quiet. We had flown all night from the United States, we were exhausted and it was pouring down rain so we took this opportunity to sleep all afternoon until dinner and... more

Great view of the bay. Rooms are avarage and need a bit of an update. Bathroom is nice. Location is a quick walk to the heart of the town. It's a quiet hotel. Breakfast is okay. Free and easy parking which is key in Kinsale! Not sure if I would stay there again but it would not be disappointed if... more

We had a beautiful room, No 119 – the Castlepark Suite. The best view across the harbour. Food is good in the bar on the ground floor but the breakfast wasn’t up to standard. The bacon was unchewable and the kipper not too good either. What type of chefs do they have ? Stick to the fruit and cereal, you... more

We had a corner room with fantastic views from the windows in two directions. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had sufficient counter space. The room looked a little tired - definitely in need of refurbishment. It also didn't seem especially clean. But the views made our stay very enjoyable, nevertheless. The hotel is in a convenient location for... more

The location of this hotel is perfect. The food and bar facilities are excellent but by far the greatest assest the Trident Hotel has is its staff. All encountered were friendly. articulate and caring. The presence of managers and obvious supervision lead to good standards being maintained. Our room, I would argue not 4 star standard, particularily the bathroom, way... more

We stayed at the Trident while in Kinsale, Kinsale is a wonderful town. The Trident hotel was a good hotel. The rooms were large and the bed was comfortable. THe hotel is at the pier and about 5-10 minute walk to the main part of town. The breakfast in the morning was okay. The buffet was limited and the cooked... more
