My wife stayed here for one night and was very impressed with this hotel, from very helpful staff to excellent dining choices. Will go back with her in the near future. She said she had the best sleep because beds were so comfortable and facilities in room excellent. Great value.

It would be easy to pick out what is wrong with the Blue Haven. Doing that would be a disservice to what is good about the hotel. Our initial greeting was from a friendly, efficient and helpful receptionist. They are characteristics that seem to prevail across all the restaurants, bars and shops in Kinsale. Having only booked for one night... More

A lovely comfortable well lit hotel bar with entertainment each night saw some good bands. Very nice. Restaurant looked nice although we didn't eat there, staff were helpful and knowledgeable. All the pubs are in close proximity but the atmosphere was good.

I stayed here for a night. Hotel seemed nice. At reception the lady who greeted us was Pleasant although she failed to mention what time check out was or times for breakfast in the morning. I had to enquire, which you shouldn't have to do when checking in. When we got to the room one of the towels had fake... More

Came to Kinsale with sooo many suggestions and seemed like a ghost town. Obviously it is seasonal but doesn't mean every single restaurant needs to be shut. We walked around everywhere and literally the blue haven was the only place open. And to a great delight the food was really really yummy. The service was really nice as well, being... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We got a really good rate, so weren't expecting such a quality experience. Food was excellent, accommodation was comfortable. Plenty to do in the town of Kinsale. There is no parking in this hotel, but there is car park nearby.

My fiance and I visited Kinsale in December 2014. We didn't stay at The Blue Haven but ate here two nights in a row, because most restaurants were closed in December. That said, the food here was divine and I recommend the mussels and fish pie! The live music from 9.00pm onwards was wonderful and we will definitely return next... More

Hotel is in a great position in Kinsale. Room was very clean but not roomy. Good breakfast . Being on the Main Street was a bonus, however the noise from bars opposite and below ( it was St Stephens Day) made sleep difficult until about 12.30 am. An anomaly on the website had us paying an extra €10 for our... More

Just back from a trip to Blue Haven at the weekend after a trip to Kinsale. The interior bar and restaurant is very comfortable and inviting. We had a sample lunch, my wife opted for the Chowder and I went for the soup of the day which was curried parsnip and a special sandwich being Christmas. The sandwich was turkey... More

I stayed in this hotel I found the staff very friendly and courteous. The room was clean and I asked for a quiet room and I got what I requested for. I am a member of a walking group this was our Christmas night out, there was seventy three of us and at our table we all enjoyed the meal.... More
