We stayed 1 night at the Blue Haven. When we arrived they were working on the floors in the bar area and the lobby was a bit of a mess. The receptionist was very busy when we arrived but as soon as she was done she heled check us in. The lobby is a bity cramped as are the rooms.... More

Location excellent near the pier. No sea views at all as restaurant at back of building. Felt very enclosed. We had to walk through noisy bar with enormous seating where people were also eating, in order to get to the restaurant. Feels very " hotelish" which I don't like. Almost a sense of stuffiness in the room. The menu was... More

We had two rooms, both up one flight of stairs, and I had insisted that everyone pack light, so no problem getting bags to the room. Our room was very nice and the bathroom was really good. Breakfast in the morning was good and everything that we could want. It was included with the room. Their recommendation and help getting... More

Room was nice, clean and great location. Just like the rest of Ireland we had to carry our luggage up the stairs so pack light. On a very happy note the restaurant has the best seafood chowder in all of Ireland! Thank you Brett (from Canada) for all your suggestions and being so friendly! It really made our stay just... More

This was a decent place to spend one night. The room was small but clean and quite nice. Friendly staff. Great location. Some concerns - our room was up two long flights of stairs which was a pain with our heavy bags, and no help was around. The breakfast was poor, the coffee weak and our eggs benedict looked like... Great location in the middle of town where you can walk to everything. Rooms are a bit older but very clean and they are renovating. Bathrooms are new and very clean. Breakfast included in price. Would definitely stay again.

Looks really nice on the inside, but outside is falling apart. My room had water pouring all night from the broken gutters, that had more plants in than my garden! The room looked out over the tin patched roof. Inside, newly painted. The staff couldn't do more, the food was great. But given the poor nights sleep, overall won't be... More

We stayed for two nights in May. It is located in the middle of historical district, short walking distance from most attractions, restaurants, bars, and bus station. Clean well appointed rooms, hair drier was in the room, they provided a plug adapter for US plugs. Great "continental" breakfast (in my book, yogurt, lox, various cold cuts and cheeses add up to... Our family from Cork drive down and eat here regularly and I can see why.....there was four of us all requiring our own little variations on the menu which was no problem to the staff or the kitchen we all had different dishes which were very tasty and satisfying....the portions are generous and the desserts are to die for....if your... We stayed one night at the hotel. The location was very good, centrally located in Kinsale, but the hotel itself felt a little dated. No hair dryer in the room, so we were glad we had our own. The breakfast was fine. Parking near the hotel was an issue, but we managed to find street parking, which worked till 10:30... More
