We've been going to Kinsale for as long as I can remember and have often eaten in the Blue Haven but never stayed. My wife and I went for a quick escape after our 2 children(?) went back to college. And what a good experience. The staff were lovely - very attentive and friendly and the food - we only... More

We were there a couple of nights ago, mid-September, nice weather. It was so hot in our room. We were in an upgraded room, the Post Masters Room. It was a beautiful room with a great view. It was just uncomfortably warm, so they gave us a fan and we had to open both window wide. Also, we could not... More

Came here for lunch one saturday as all we wanted was a couch to sit on. It was very busy at the time. The food (mainly just sandwiches) was very nice and the twisty fries to die for but slack enough. A few more twisty fries wouldnt go astray. The service was very quick and good also.

I had their 'single' room which would have been a comfortable double. Clean and comfortable with everything you could want. Really comfey bed. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and water pressure was fantastic - with plenty of hot water. The internet was fast (and free). The staff were really helpful and really lovely. I would definitely recommend this as... More

We went to this hotel just for breakfast on Sunday morning. The menu was amazing - 2 pages including full Irish, eggs benedict, eggs florentine, French toast, pancakes with a range of toppings and maple syrup, a huge platter of fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt, etc etc. there were seven of us and we all had something different. All fantastic... More

First the bad. We were told (two of us separately) that we could park in loading zone in front of hotel without worry on Sunday as long as we moved our car by Monday at 10:30 a.m. It is expensive to park in this town, especially near the hotel. We departed at 10:15 a.m. on Monday with a 40 euro... More

great location to a very funky town, with a good restaurant, and entertaining bar area. Hotel rooms were of a high standard and good size, with reasonable sized bathrooms - have stayed in smaller. Noise was an issue, however we were out most of the evening and in a happy mind so not too difficult to deal with. Lovely view,... More

Not the first time we've stayed at the Blue Haven which tells you something. But having said that it might be the last. Note to self; check if there's a rock festival next time you book a hotel for the weekend. Yes,the BlueHaven isn't built for noise attenuation. We were with friends. Their first task on the first morning was... More

Lovely welcoming, clean and cosy hotel right in the heart of Kinsale. Room and bathroom were small but we were warned of that before arrival so we were pleasantly surprised. The very handy central location is great but the noise from the surrounding pubs is pretty loud - we were ok but probably best avoided if older or with young... More
