I stayed for two nights and with a few exceptions, enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable & the breakfast was good. There were a few little problems. The first is that there is no elevator & in fairness, the site states this. However, lugging three suitcases up two flights of stairs doesn't work for somebody my age. Next, the... More

We stayed two nights at the blue haven, and out of two weeks in Ireland it was the best place we stayed. The rooms are lovely , the beds are comfortable , and they even have a pillow menu. The breakfast is included, and it is lavish. I don't want to leave!!

My only negative of this hotel is that there is no lift for guests. If you can't carry your bags up 2 flights of stairs, this hotel is not for you. Having said that, we found the room to be terrific, and quite clean. At this point in our trip, we were tired and torn between going out for music,... More

Booked in here when attending a wedding locally - they could not accommodate us to change our clothes on arrival and we were offered the toilet off reception ! When we asked for the manager she arranged for us to use a room in their guest house down the street. We ended up staying there and in the morning were... More

Stayed overnight in Blue Haven, Kinsale, On Thurs. 23 April, and really enjoyed our visit. Food is absolutely beautiful, staff very friendly and helpful. The band/music added to the night's enjoyment in the bar area. Would recommend it very highly, and am planning a return visit within the next month.

We stopped at the hotel while driving through town and had seen it in the Frommer's Guide. We were traveling with another couple and stopped in to see if there were rooms available. We were quoted a price of $110 and the only rooms they had were in another location nearby, so we thought we could get a better price... More

Arrived rather late but we were welcomed well and invited down for live music. We had been given an upgrade and the room was spectacular. Breakfasts were wonderful and reception was always helpful. The only small niggle was how late we could hear music in our room and a bit of street noise. Comfy beds and an excellent bar cures... More

Arriving minutes before the kitchen closed @ 21:00 we were apprehensive that the bistro team would be rushing our diner. Not the case at all. We had a comfortable table in the bistro. The Irish band struck up some tunes in the background and all was right with the world. The food was well described and well presented. The black... More
