Jimmy makes you feel right at home at his B & B. In addition to making the absolute best recommendations for food, Irish music, and so forth, he went out of his way to assist us with anything we needed. One of the best things about this B & B is the free parking (many other lodgings we tried would... More

What a great 2nd night experience! I think Kinsale was our favorite pub night. Almost everyday and night in Ireland was our favorite. Except the night we locked our keys in the car. Jimmy was a perfect host and treated us like family even to offering us his phone to call the car rental agency to alert them to our... More

Jimmy, the proprietor made the stay an enjoyable experience. Jimmy is a nice and accomodating man who goes out of his way to help and ends up making your stay pleasant and unique. Don't expect a fancy B&B, the building is 200 years old. However our room was comfortable, clean and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was included... More

We had a lovely night at this B&B, even though it took us forever to find it. This is the case with almost everything in Kinsale though, so don't hold it against any of the businesses! Our room was very plain, but clean which is #1 priority. There were no tea making facilities in the room but owner Jimmie brought... More

Everything we needed was within walking distance. Parking onsite. Breakfast was delicious and Jimmie was wonderful!! When we arrived he greeted us with a warm welcome and tea. We felt like we were home. Jimmie was also readily available every time we were heading out and gave us directions plus suggestions for restaurants and places to go for live music!!

My favorite stay of our 9 nights in Ireland was the 2 nights we spent in Kinsale at the San Antonio B&B. Jimmie, the owner of the B&B, was so genuinely nice and full of conversation. He gave us suggestions of where to eat, what to do, and what to avoid. Our room was at the very top of the... More

There are a lot of variables in why or why not a B&B may be OK, good, or great. While I agree with the reviewer that said the rooms at San Antonio were nothing special, what is special is the location and the host. Jimmie is a fabulous and gracious host and he has a great location just on the... More

Room was small, clean nothing special. Our host Jimmy was helpful. Breakfast was o.k. nothing exceptional compared to many of the other B & B's we'd stayed at. You had a basic breakfast with no frills. No credit card accepted here. The only draw back here is the room was rather plain in terms of its presentation so was rather... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the San Antonio, and would happily return. Jimmy, the host, gave great suggestions for pubs and walks, and was a friendly and low-key host. He had a great knowledge of the local pubs in terms of music, and gave great advice.

I recently spent a weekend in Kinsale and stayed in San Antonio and I could not say enough good things about this place. Our host for the weekend was a charming gentleman called Jimmy. He was just brilliant and a perfect host. The B&B itself is a beautiful old building full of character, high ceilings, lovely mouldings, sweeping staircase and... More
