My friends and I found Springfield House by looking in a bed and breakfast book of Ireland. We had no set itinerary--just drive, explore, and stop when the mood struck, so finding this B&B was really serendipitous. It is definitely off the beaten path, on the outskirts of Clonakilty in County Cork, but it is well worth the time it... More

We had a very nice stay here for one night . Maureen was very friendly and made us feel at home in a beautiful part of the country . Breakfast was perfect with a great selection of cereals , full Irish and freshly baked breads . The room was nice and comfortable and spotless .

A very pleasant location and an excellent team to look after us. These things in particular made our stay very special. A short drive to Clonakilty, but in hindsight the location was preferred and close to the main routes to everywhere along this very beautiful coast.

Very welcoming B&B with Maureen a very gracious host. A bit difficult to find from the main road so one suggestion is better signage. Lots of good suggestions on sights to see & delicious breakfast. Great warm welcome & chocolates on our departure.

We stayed two nights and found the hostess to be very nice. The breakfast each morning was very good. It was a little difficult to find and 7-8 kilometers from the town of Clonakilty. One night we stayed in town to hear Irish music in a pub and found it difficult to drive the narrow farm roads in the dark.

Maureen was so sweet. The house was awesome. The property was beautiful. I really enjoyed staying here. A little tricky to find but way worth it! This was only my second B & B experience. My first was in Dublin and not so good. I was not sure if B&Bs were for me but I really did love this place.... More

We stayed at the Springfield House in June 2013. Maureen greeted us warmly. The rooms were spacious with our own bathroom. There were not that many guests, so she stationed us in our own wing of the house. The house has gorgeous landscape and a view of the ocean, when it is clear. The breakfast was a wonderful traditional Irish... More

On arrival at Springfield House, we were greeted by Maureen and within minutes we had been offered tea. By the time we had left the bags in our room, the tea was ready in the sitting room downstairs, along with biscuits and cake. Maureen poured the tea and joined us for a chat. It was a lovely way to welcome... More

Our group of 7 retirees really enjoyed the one-night stay at Springfield House this September, 2012. They went beyond our expectations by providing a tea on china upon our arrival. The location is off the beaten path, but that added to the uniqueness. In spite of a death in the family, they provided everything we needed. Because of our great... More

It was a real performace to find this place: our navigator failed and so we drove around and around for a lot of kilometers. In the end the owner gave us the right instructions by phone. We finally arrived in the fog and in the middle of nowhere, but we had a worm welcome and we experienced what a true... More
