Ard Na Greine is a working farmhouse in the gorgeous Irish countryside near Clonikilty. Norma is the epitome of the caring "grandmother". We had been in contact by email before we arrived and she suggested the best scenic drive to her B&B. It was a chilly rainy day and when we arrived she immediately sat us down in her living... More

This was one of the nicest B&Bs we have stayed in while in Ireland. A hot fire, tea and freshly made scones were ready for us when we arrived. Norma was amazing with everything from the food she served us, to giving us recommendations of places to see or eat at in the area, to our well-being especially for our... More

Absolutely fantastic stay at this B&B. We arrived late and were given tea and scones, had porridge in the morning before doing the Clon Marathon and then had the cooked breakfast after the run at lunch time. The fire was lit for us and more tea was served while we watched TV and chatted with the other guests, it was... More

My wife and I really enjoyed our 1-night stay here. During our Ireland trip (Aug 2013), we stayed in a different property every night. All of them were HEAVILY researched and Ard Na Greine, like the others, did not disappoint. We arranged to pay extra for Norma to prepare dinner for us the night of our arrival. It was money... I loved staying here, Norma was so caring and such a hoot, came and got us in town when we weren't sure how to find our way, always helped us plan our days and make sure we knew where to go and had maps! Felt like Mom was downstairs taking care of the world and us for a while. The... More

Firstly, this is about 10 minutes drive outside town so if you don't mind that, all is good! This is a really friendly family-run home, anything you need to know or do is no problem for Norma. We had a great chat about farming and my job and it is truly lovely to find someone who actually enjoys the work... More

A trip to Ard Na Greine feels like a trip home. Norma welcomed my group of 8 with open arms...and freshly-baked buns and tea. Despite only staying for one night, the farmhouse provided much-needed respite for us city girls. I can't remember the last time I slept so well. The highlights, for me, were an early morning walk to visit... More

Norma went out of her way to accommodate our large group of 8 and was incredibly welcoming and helpful (helping with route planning, arranging taxis etc.) Breakfast was fantastic and we were encouraged to help ourselves to freshly baked scones and soda bread to take with us for the road on our departure. Highly recommended.

Our family of 4 stayed at Ard Na Greine one night -- but also arranged with Norma ahead of time to come for dinner the evening of our stay. The whole experience was just wonderful. Norma is such a delightful, warm hostess--and her cooking is simply delicious! Dinner was amazing--pork and lamb with all the trimmings and topped off with... More

Our stay with Norma was a wonderful experience. We had tea and scones on our arrival. The view over the hills form the house was spectacular. The wonderful breakfast included a to- go bag for scones as a snack. Norma was great with suggestions for outings and directions - saved us a lot of time.
