O'DONOVAN'S HOTEL is the only place I stay while visiting the great town of Clonakilty. Great history with many generations of family. Deena is a joy , so friendly and helpful and always has time for a pleasant word .The front desk personnel are fantastic friendly and very helpful. I usually get a balcony room which overlooks the garden in... More

Stayed here for one night. I found it very disappointing. There was a funny smell in my room which was freezing cold. The food was obviously just reheated in a microwave as the Gravy had bubbles in it. Wouldn't stay there again. On the plus side the man at the front desk was charming and had a nice Cork head... 3 of us had lunch here on 21/02 and were pleased to see the menu choice on offer. I had the beef lasagne which with a fantastic generous side salad. The dressing was amazing, I would pay good money to get the recipe (please, please send it to me by email anne.bursens@yahoo.co.uk). My partner had the 4 cheese lasagna and... More

Stayed in this hotel in February 2015. Can't complain about the staff, they were polite and helpful in all dealings I had with them. My main problem was that our hotel room was absolutely freezing. They supply extra blankets in the rooms and by god do you need them. The cold room actually led to me getting sick! Also there... More

This was my 2nd time staying in this so called hotel. The 2nd time was just as bad as the first. Very unhygienic hotel, unfriendly/rude owners. Rooms are outdated and dusty. Food is ok, not the best. I most certainly will not be giving this establishment any more chances!

O'Donovan's is a traditional hotel with quaint charm in the middle of Clonakilty. The staff at reception were very welcoming. During our stay it was very cold weather and we found the rooms very cold, there was also no hot water in the bathroom on the morning we checked out. A food market right outside the window sets up in... More

Love this hotel. Lovely rooms and great service. Several bars to chose from that all have live music almost nightly and great food. The hotel is full of history. From Michael Collins to Tain't A Bird to a famous monkey burred in the backyard. Well located and run by a lovely family. Don't miss it.

We had dinner in the bar and it was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, very friendly, lovely atmosphere and great food. Generous portions, we were there quite late but that had no impact on the meal or service, Will definitely be back!!

A bit higglety pigglety but absolutely charming. I met the owner at check in, which was quite late and she was lovely and gave me a great rate for the night. It is right in the centre of town with a great pub attached. The hotel could probably benefit from having money spent on it. BUT I would suggest that... More

If you're looking for a hotel with chrome and glass, then this is not for you. If you are looking for a more 'traditional' place to lay your head then go no further. The hotel is situated in the very centre of the town. Parking is either on the street, in a small private car park (first come first served),... More
