Perfect location on the interesting main street with lots of attractions and places to visit around the town and the surrounding countryside. The hosts Tom, Craig Therese were always available to help guide and make things smooth and comfortable. The hotel is rich in history and full of wonderful areas on every floor to sit and read or relax. Very... More

We stayed here for four nights over new year. Its a real gem. Run by family with a complete love and understanding of all things local. Right in the heart of clonakilty with 'An Teach beat' at the back for traditional music evenings. The breakfast was all day and was heroic in its breath....full irish, porridge, eggs any way, scones,... More

Myself and a group of friends arrived last Friday for a stay at this gorgeous hotel for a long weekend and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. We checked in quickly and with no fuss and were shown to our rooms. My friend and I shared a family room, it was huge! Very clean,... More

Just returned from O'Donovan's Hotel in Clonakilty. Ideally situated in the centre of the town. The room was very comfortable and the food fantastic. The staff were very helpful so much so that one of the barmen brought us down to where the traditional music was being played, he could not do enough to assist us. Will definately be back... More

A fantastic hotel in a great town. Car park at the rear of the hotel was ideal as was the Friday market and also the Portobello market on Saturday. The family run hotel has all the charm and service that you would want when on your break in Ireland. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had with an amazing... More

My favorite hotel during my three weeks in Ireland! I like to stay where the usual tourists don't go, which in Ireland means middling-sized market towns like Clonakilty. This historic old hotel is full of charm, modern convenience and that often illusive ability to seamlessly meld the two. It seemed every corner was filled with historic memorabilia, antiques or period... More

My wife and I stumbled across this hotel while passing through town. It was a great find. This hotel is city center, we parked the car and walked to shops and dining. This is a family run hotel with old fashioned charm. It has a restaurant, a pub, & nightclub. There is also a sore next door. Staff couldn't have... More

If you come to West Cork you have to visit the little town of Clonakilty and stay at the O'Donovan's Hotel, a sixth generation, historic, family run hotel. Large rooms, good and rich breakfast (their black pudding was excellent), and daily live music in the hotel lounge. If you love traditional Irish music you can visit the Teach Beag, an... More

Stayed two nights at this hotel for a friend's hen party. Great town centre location, rooms are big and clean. Ours had a small balcony which was great to open in the morning and let in some air. The hotel has a night club and on the second night I was back at the room just before it ended and... More

We spent a great night out in Clonakilty. We caught up with some friends for a cheese board and a few glasses of wine in Molly's behind the off licence. It's so chilled out and relaxed in there.. Later that night we went down to the restaurant and had a lovely meal. I didn't have a starter but the steak... More
