Currently staying for two nights at the excellent Macliam Lodge. We arrived to be greeted by our wonderful hostess Maeve who showed us to our lovely, clean well presented room. On site parking and only 5 mins walk into town the B&B is ideally located. Maeve and John have put a lot of effort into making there home feel like... More

My husband ,myself and two friends stayed for four nights in August, Maeve and John couldn't have been more helpful, in fact Maeve helped us to book our b & b on our next stage in Galway which was also very good ( but not as good as Macliam Lodge). The food was superb, hot and plentiful, We would certainly stay... More

My husband and I stayed at Macliam Lodge last night as we had a wedding in a nearby hotel. We checked in on our way to the hotel for the reception. Maeve came out to meet us and was very friendly and welcoming. She showed us to our room and gave us the keys for the front door. The only... More

My wife and I stayed there for one night while visiting Clonakilty. Room was spacious, but bathroom had some mould on shower surround. Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked and served to each table. We had pleasant 15 minute walk into Clonakilty for dinner, but might not be as nice on a wet or cold night. Not great value... Macliam Lodge is the best place to stay in Ireland! The ambiance is perfect, Maeve's Irish breakfast is the best I have ever had. Her husband John is a character and the nicest guy. My room was so delightful I didn't want to leave! Yes, it certainly is only a 5 minute walk to town along a lovely road with... More

From the minute Maeve came out to greet us with her sparkling personality and ease till the moment we left 2 days later, there is NOTHING that I could suggest that could have made our experience any better! Besides a very spacious room, oh-so-comfortable beds and power showers that washed the cobwebs away for sure, the breakfast was fabulous; healthy... More

The bathroom is sparklingly clean and nice size shower. Only thing I wasnt crazy about was the tupperware tub of biscuits on the tea tray I mean its not that... More
