It's always a worry when booking properties of this standard that sometimes they just don't deliver, thankfully, Longueville House was a very pleasant stay. On arrival we were welcomed by a member of staff, who as well as acting receptionist, was also the barman and Maitre D, which we discovered as the evening progressed. We were show to our room,... We went for a one night break and thoroughly enjoyed it, the staff were really lovely and helpful and the food was out of this world for both Breakfast and Dinner. We went on walks in the surrounding countryside and the farm dogs came with us. The farm is a great addition to the experience and sitting by the warm... More

Stayed with family. A nice rambling house with expanse in the gardens to walk around. Rooms were pleasant and service friendly. The attraction was the older house, it's history, the "foodie" element and it's proximity to Cork attractions without being stuck in Cork. The food was enjoyable and the house garden nice to walk around. A very pleasant place to... More

We had mixed feelings after an overnight stay in this classic early 18c country house hotel overlooking the Blackwater river and c. 5 km west of Mallow. The building fits the stereotype well, with a large hall, four elegant public rooms and an evocative double staircase leading to the bedroom area. The drawing room and main dining room are especially... More

I stayed at the Longueville while traveling throughout Ireland. We stayed here based upon its reputation and it fulfilled all of my expectations. The LH was a short stop over on a very hectic tour of Ireland and was perfect for the occasion. We spent the evening in the study/lounge drinking the LH cider in front of the fire. As... More

this is the most glorious historic mansion you could imagine. It is on a great scale in that the staff are always in attendance to help with any request no matter how trivial. Four of us stayed for an overnight as we had travelled from Armagh to support our club Rugby team play in nearby Kanturk. We were not allowed... More

Went here last week for their annual mushroom hunt and was not disappointed. There wasn't many mushrooms about but had great fun wandering the grounds and learning about different varieties of mushrooms. The best part of the day was the lunch which was out of this world. Well worth the visit.

My wife and I stayed last weekend in Longueville after a ten year absence and I have to say it was wonderful. We drove down from Tramore in Co. Waterford which is not the greatest road in the world but the journey ended well as we drove up the avenue to the house trying avoiding the pheasants and wild game... More
