this is the most glorious historic mansion you could imagine. It is on a great scale in that the staff are always in attendance to help with any request no matter how trivial. Four of us stayed for an overnight as we had travelled from Armagh to support our club Rugby team play in nearby Kanturk. We were not allowed... More

Went here last week for their annual mushroom hunt and was not disappointed. There wasn't many mushrooms about but had great fun wandering the grounds and learning about different varieties of mushrooms. The best part of the day was the lunch which was out of this world. Well worth the visit.

My wife and I stayed last weekend in Longueville after a ten year absence and I have to say it was wonderful. We drove down from Tramore in Co. Waterford which is not the greatest road in the world but the journey ended well as we drove up the avenue to the house trying avoiding the pheasants and wild game... More

Myself and my husband and 3 other couples stayed here for a weekend on a mushroom picking weekend. We had a beautiful room, the bathroom was a little dated but that did not bother me. Lovely view from the window. . The reception rooms are beautiful and inviting and the restaurant manager who is Hungarian is very pleasant. Our package which... More

We stayed at Longueville House last December, it was available at short notice which should have been a warning sign. The immediate and lasting impression of the house was the severe coldness. When we arrived, we lunched in the bar, (a small dark room), as all the other guests were huddled in the drawing room, (a lovely large room), around... More

We stayed at Longueville to celebrate good friends renewal of their marriage vows at the place they had married ten years earlier. From the moment we pulled up we knew we were in a special place. A beautiful Georgian Heritage Mansion set on 500 acres, Longueville is the personification of what I expected Ireland to be. No impersonal reception desk... More

My daughter is getting married here next year, so we wanted to know what made special for her. On arrival we were shown into a beautifully appointed sitting room ( would say 200 years old) and the waiter came to take a drinks order. The speciality of the house is its own cider and apple brandy( not before lunch!). We... More

My husband and I stayed at Longueville House at the end of August and we had a wonderful time. When we drove up the long winding driveway we were met outside and warmly greeted by Jane O'Callaghan who has spent her life making Longueville House what it is. Inside we were also warmly welcomed by Aisling O'Callaghan, the lovely present... More

This is the place to be to have a complete break. Everything really was just superb. The welcome, the homely feeling about the place; the leisurely fireside reads, the wonderful walks in the walled garden, the courtyard, the wide open spaces and wonderful views. The food was exceptional, with all the ingredients taken that morning from the garden. The room... More

Booked the celebratory afternoon tea for a birthday. On arrival the grounds are breath taking and you are taken back by the grand house. Greeted by a wonderful member of staff we were shown to our table. We received champagne, then tea/coffee. The food was amazing! Most of the produce was harvested from the garden or locally sourced, and the meat... More
