Amazing place, some fantastic views, some old buidlings to look at, and there is also swans and ducks in the water if you want to bring bread and feed them. the best part for me in this place is also the part you have to pay for it cost 7.50 euro per adult and its a walk through some old... More

A friend and I visited Boyle mainly so we could spend 2 days at Lough Key, and what a great time it was. The lake is absolutely beautiful. We rented a boat and rowed to the different islands, visiting 3 of them. There is a castle on one, a medieval cemetery on another, and a 14th century abbey on another.... More

A great place to visit with kids. Did the boat trip after a long stroll on the grounds. My kids love the playground in the centre . They are too young yet for zip it etc but they can't wait. Great place for picnic. And if you spend 20 euro in shop or facilities..parking is free.

Our visit to Lough Key Park included walking in the well kept grounds with stunning views over the lake, - partaking of the restaurant in the Visitor Centre, food was fresh, beautifully cooked and reasonably priced, service was quick and courteous - , the toilets, which were clean, well equipped and spacious, - using the car park, there were not... With just a little TLC this beautifully located site could be a world-beater. The campsite feels like the poor relation of the well-kept main centre. It gets full marks for its proximity to Lough Key but could really benefit from more toilets, an upgrade in the children's playground, wifi, an on-site shop and perhaps even a cafe. We loved Boda... We camped in Lough Key forest park camp site at the end of July. The weather was not great but there was plenty to do in Lough Key itself. The camp site was very clean with 3-4 areas where you can pitch your tent. It was quite busy and although there is a 11pm-8am quiet time it was not really... More

The location and view of the Lough is fantastic. Were it lets itself down is in facilities and activities. The whole time we were there not a single staff member was seen in the camp site, the reception was always closed. The main building staff just kept saying he must be around somewhere. During the day all the things stopped... More
