Spent only one night in this lovely guest house but it was perfect. There is amazing art everywhere to compliment the antiques; and the grounds are just as beautiful. We booked the Blue Room with a view over the garden but enjoyed some time in the living room before going to dinner. Later we sat in front of our own... more

I have done quite a bit of traveling for both work and pleasure and can honestly say that Lough Key House is now at the top of my list for places to stay worldwide. I agree with every plaudit thus far posted on Trip Advisor, although words are inadequate when it comes to describing the "feel" of Lough Key House... more

I consider my stay at Lough Key House to be, by far, the highlight of my visit to Ireland. I will be sending all my friends and relatives to her lovely home. Frances treated us like princesses and fed us like kings. Although the weather was very poor she made us feel comfortable and we relaxed by the fire most... more

I would recommend Lough Key House to anyone looking for a quiet stay where you are surrounded by comfort, elegance, and warmth. I wish I could have stayed longer! Quite honestly, I was looking for an economical stop for the night as I traveled through Ireland on a very short holiday. I found Lough Key House online, liked what I... more

This is unquestionably the finest bed and breakfast I have visited in Ireland. Stay here only if you are searching for warmth, comfort, beautiful surroundings, excellent food, and a truly unforgettable Irish experience. Bedrooms and bathrooms are luxurious and sparkling clean, and I can't say enough about the breakfasts - homemade porridge, eggs laid by Lough Key's own hens, fruit,... more

Lough Key House is an extremely stylish and luxuriously comfortable guesthouse, ideally situated, literally at the gates to Lough Key Forest Park - acres of bluebell woods, lakes, islands etc. - and just a few miles from both Boyle and Carrick on Shannon - both quintessential irish towns with all the traditional attractions (fishing, boating, golf, horse-riding, music, pubs) as... more
