I had never been to Enniscrone before, and only stayed one night, but everything about Tara (and Catherine and her family) made me wish I could come back as soon as possible. The setting is beautiful, looking down a short way to the town, with a view of the dunes on the left and the beach beyond. For reasons not... More

I only had the pleasure of staying at the Tara Farmhouse B&B for one night. Catherine was a welcoming host and extremely helpful, especially when I was booking the room only the day before, while in transit. She also provided a lift in her car to a wedding reception we were attending and shared useful local information. The room was... More

I stayed in Tara with my family, including 4 grandchildren at the weekend. We were warmly greeted by Catherine & Eamon who made us so welcome and at home. Tara is situated in a large well kept garden with views over Killala Bay and Enniscrone with a lovely vegetable patch to the rear. We settled in the sitting room and... More

Catherine is the perfect hostess and was very much in tune with ensuring that we had a wonderful stay in her home. Our rooms were great, wonderfully comfortable beds and pillows, and a great Irish breakfast with wonderful white and brown home made breads. One of our party was unwell, and Catherine proved so helpful, going the 'extra mile' to... More

I loved Tara. There were 6in our party with 3 rooms. All were wonderful, clean great beds, pillows. And the hospitality was second to none. I can't say enough about this place and I am amazed that it is not at least a 4 star. It was cold when we arrived and Catherine greeted us with tea and scones. She... More

We have just spent another eight nights with the most hospitable family you could wish to meet. Nothing is too much trouble, always welcomed with a cup of tea and home made cakes. Breakfast is a feast to behold lovely home made Brown bread along with fresh eggs from the hens is enough to wet anyone's appetite to make up... More

You do really get the feeling of staying in a farm house. We stayed here mostly because we needed a location close to the Eniscrone golf course. Catherine even provided us with a discount to play at the course which is less than a mile away. The breakfast was excellent with quite a variety of fresh fruit. The rooms where... More

So glad that we were able to stay here on our trip, one of the nicest B&B proprietors that I have ever met. On our next visit to Ireland we would love to come back. Beautiful area, nice clean rooms and fantastic breakfast.
