My husband, teenaged son, & I visited Cavangarden House in August of 2012. The grounds were very pretty with the winding drive and the dogs were very nice. Breakfast was also very good and the hostess was nice and accomodating. We were disappointed in the room. The shower was barely a dribble and regulating the temperature was challenging. The room... Agnes is a wonderful woman providing a fantastic service at her guest house. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. She prepares a lovely Irish breakfast from which you will not come away hungry! It was the best breakfast of our entire 2 weeks in Ireland. Agnes, in my opinion, is what made our visit to Ballyshannon so memorable. She has... More

Our visit to this lovely old home was not to be missed. Originally built in the 1700s, this updated home still retains all the charm of times past including the occasional creak of floor or stair but with enough modern touches to make it comfortable. We loved all the antiques! It is definitely worth a visit!

When we spotted the sign for Cavangarden house it appeared to be right off of a major highway, making me a bit concerned about noise. Not to worry, the driveway was nearly 1 km long, leading to an attractive Georgian country home set back behind some woods. House dates back to the 1750's and is nicely furnished with period furnishings.... More

Cavangarden House is an elegant manor, on a 380 acre working farm. It was exactly the place I dreamed of visiting. Agnes offered us a selection of rooms, which were incredibly beautiful. We could imagine life when the manor was built, as our room was huge, with a separate sitting area to relax and gaze out onto the fields. Agnes... More

We have been traveling to Ireland every year for the last 15 and stay at Cavangarden every year. We have always been pleased with our accomodations. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The B&B is located outside of Ballyshannon down a winding road thru woods. It is a very peaceful & beautiful location. The breakfast is ordered the prior... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this lovely old mansion. Agnes was a delightful hostess and directed us to a lovely sitting area on the main floor for a relaxing evening. Our bedroom was a two bedroom ensuite which was much more than we had paid for. Breakfast was lovely and very filling in a resort type dining... More

Cavangarden House B&B (near) Ballyshannon Cavangarden House is an old mansion at the end of a tree lined winding drive which must be at least half a kilometre from the main road giving it a very quiet setting. Our room was, expectedly, old but clean although we did look at each other when we simultaneously saw 2 towels thrown over... More
