Red River Lodge, along with the proprietor Dolores Jordan(and Mark!), far exceeded my expectations of a B & B iin NW Ireland. Based on experience previously, plus another experience after leaving Ballina to head North to another B & B in Donegal, I cannot say enough good things about them or their facility. I left feeling like I not only... More

B&Bs don't get any better than this. The house, grounds and rooms are beautiful; probably the largest, most comfortable room and bath of the 20 places we stayed in over 30 days in Ireland and Scotland. Breakfast was one of the best we had and in a beautiful solarium. Dolores was great, we talked all morning over breakfast. Only stayed... More

Wonderful location overlooking the estuary, beautiful house with large rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was superb in the sunroom. Dolores was very welcoming and friendly, she has great local knowledge and recommended and excellent place for dinner. Would recommend this to friends and others as a great place to stay..

When I write a review I do it with the intention of assisting other travelers, no other reason. My husband and I frequently travel internationally and often stay at B&Bs. We have never stayed at a B&B that even come close to what Dolores and Mark provide. We spent one entire week there and gladly would have stayed on longer... More

B&B is in a wonderful location - a beautiful house with great gardens. The room we had overlooked the estuary which was a fantastic view. Dolores's directions to her B&B were spot on. Dolores greeted us warmly, showed us around her home and suggested some restaurants. The room we had was beautifully decorated and spacious. The breakfast was tasteful and... More

Ballina is maybe not known as other parts of Ireland but strongly worths a visit and this b&b is the best in the town. Just few words for this astounding b&b. I travelled alone and stayed only one night. The b&b is located in a lovely position and the garden fantastic and cared with love, as all the rest of... More

Dolores Jordan is treasure. She is the proprietor of Red River Lodge and she does a mighty fine job. We turned up on her doorstep one evening after seeing the online reviews for Red River Lodge. And we were so glad we did. The house is beautiful. Bright and welcoming, but still has a family house feel. At the front... More

My wife and I, and our two children 16 & 20 spent two evenings at Red River Lodge. There's not much more I can say without repeating what has already been said in other reviews. We arrived late the first evening, and I made sure to call ahead to let them know we would still be on our way. Mark... More

We began a biking holiday in Ballina and Red River Lodge was our first B&B. It set the standard beautifully. Doloros our hostess was extremely hospitable. Tea, coffee and biscuits were available in reception at any time. Our room was extremely comfortable and our breakfast set us up exceptionally well for the day. Doloros's husband Mark, even assisted us with... More

Stayed here on July 7 for one night. Was very impressed as I rarely stay in b&b's, just don't find they give value for money. This house was exceptional. The host is a charming, friendly well informed lady, very helpful but not intrusive. Facilities are very good , rooms very high standard and overall a place I will return to.... More
