As the others have said - spotless and very comfortable. Delores is a gracious host and the house is immaculate. You don't feel like you're imposing in her home (as you may feel in other B&Bs) and the view is fabulous. It's a good base to explore Mayo/Sligo, being near to Enniscrone & Ballina. Would definitely go back again! more

My wife and I stayed at Red River Lodge as we had a friends wedding at The Ice House Hotel nearby. We found Red River Lodge on trip advisor and it was really good - just as recommended by others so I thought we'd keep spreading the word. Spotlessly clean, good breakfast and very central if you want to drive... more

Lovely location, just out of town so very peaceful. Dolores was a very welcoming hostess, and the rooms were very bright and clean. Breakfast was lovely - all you can eat. Dolores has an excellent knowledge of the area and its amenities. This B&B is very highly recommened by us. more

We stayed one night at Red River Lodge and I would have liked to stay longer. The lodge is located just outside the village of Quy, a little too far to walk but a short drive. Very quiet setting with beautiful gardens and views of the surrounding countryside. There are homes nearby but you would never know it once settled... more

We absolutely loved Red River Lodge! The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, the views were fantastic and the hostess, Dolores Jordan, was wonderful! We had plenty of storage for three adults and the en-suite bathroom was quite large. We actually decided to modify our travel plans in order to stay a second night! The breakfast was cooked to... more

We stayed at the Red River Lodge for one night in May 2009. We stayed in Room 1, which was lovely. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and well presented. The view from our room was a joy to behold. (We live on a dual carriageway at home!) Our bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. There are various different... more

We stayed for 3 nights at Red River Lodge at the beginning of September. Lovely room with wonderful views over the River Moy, very clean and comfortable. The owner was very helpful with suggestions for day trips and for evening meals. It is about 4 km outside of Ballina so not really walking distance to tea but the location is... more

Have just returned from attending a wedding in Ballina, staying at the spotless, welcoming, Red River Lodge. I cannot speak too highly of Dolores, the hostess and her beautiful home. We felt like friends from the time we e-mailed our booking, with very prompt, friendly and informative replies to our queries about the area. Our comfortable, artistically arranged room overlooked... more

We had a very pleasant stay at the Red River Lodge, and paid one of the lowest rates of our whole stay in Ireland. The house is located in a quiet area, with a view on the Red River. After driving through the very nice garden, we were welcomed by our host in a very cosy and nicely decorated house.... more

We were looking for somewhere to stay for a week's holiday in the West of Ireland. As Trip Advisor users - although never written anything before - we checked on reviews for Red River Lodge, and got the distinct impression that it would be a good choice. And it certainly was! Dolores and her husband Mark are lovely people and... more
