We recently stayed at the Mayfly for a weekend. When we arrived we were warmly received by a cheerful host. The entertainment was unbelievable with Irish music starting at 10.30pm on a Sunday night. The real gem was Annie's breakfast which was huge and very tasty. Will be back for sure in the future. Many thanks to all the staff... More

Stayed at the mayfly on March 22 and 23. It was our first two nights in Ireland. Mayfly had clean well appointed rooms and very attentive staff. Was also very affordable. The poachers restaurant had good food and breakfast served in the coffee dock was a great start to day Would stay again.

We visited the Mayfly hotel last week for lunch, while travelling to Crossmolina, what a disappointment! There was very little food on the plate, "salad" was one lettuce leaf, there was around 10 chips. The bar had several drunk men threatening to fight each other. We left the place still hungry and will never return. We will go to a... More

We had our wedding rehearsal meal and a little party at the Mayfly hotel. We found the service and food excellent. Tom and Danny went to a lot of trouble going through menus, making sure we had everything we wanted. They catered for all our needs at a reasonable price. Thanks again Tom, it was a pleasure.

Stayed in the Mayfly last weekend. Lovely small comfortable homel y hotel. The management and staff were wonderful especially David. We had dinner both nights and the food was outstanding. The breakfast was served in a lovely bright breakfast room and the lady serving was so nice to us and breakfast is served up until noon. This hotel showcases Irish... More

Stayed at The Mayfly last Thursday and Friday night with my husband, the 29th and 30th of August. Had a great time, the room was lovely with a huge ensuite and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. When we arrived we decided to head to Poachers bar and had afternoon tea for €16 for the 2... More

I decided to go for a short stay with my parents at the last minuet and could not get a reservation at their hotel. However this slight downer was overcome by my experience at the Mayfly. The management and staff were very pleasant, warm and helpful and the room was very clean, tidy and spacious. The breakfast was amazing with... More

I was looking for a pub to watch the open and it seemed that every one I went to was watching the Gaelic football semi finals. I stumbled upon Poachers at the Mayfly Hotel which ahd a tv above the bar and sure enough the British Open was on. The big screen had football. I had a pint of Smithwick... More
