I was a member of a pilgrimage group with 10 teens and 4 adults that spent 2 nights here at end of June. We had 7 teenage boys and two male adult leaders in one room and 3 girls and 2 adult female leaders in another and both rooms were fine. Plenty of bathrooms/showers, a nice communal kitchen, and beautiful... More

I camped in the hostel's grounds for four days in July. This was a pleasant and relaxing experience, which reflected the general atmosphere of Dingle and the area. For €9 per person per night you can pick a pitch in the hostel's grounds, which consists of the back and front lawns. It really felt like camping in someone's garden (in... More

It is a hearty hike to town but certainly doable if you don't have a car. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The other hostelers are very diverse, international and friendly. There are two fully equipped kitchens to cook in and the larger one adjoins a very large friendly dining- meeting room.... More

Oh my goodness, The Rainbow Hostel...this was my first hostel experience and let me tell you, it was an interesting one! First, the people running the hostel are incredibly nice and hospitable. We needed to wash some clothes and they washed them for us! The rest of the experience was a trip! For those of you who have never been... More

Do not overlook this place if you are planning a trip to the Dingle peninsula. At just 9 euro per person to camp for a night it represents great value for money particularly as this includes use of the kitchen and all bathroom facilities. Just pitch up and choose your spot on the spacious front lawn or nip around the... More

God bless Google and Trip Advisor because due to some petty local politics or similar, the gruff lady in the Tourist Information Office was not giving the Tourists and Information about this lovely hostel. Clean. Tidy. 15 minute stroll into the town centre. We camped in spacious and sheltered garden. There is above adequate shower/toilet/sink facilities in a large out... More

Although this is the Rainbow Hostel - I am reviewing it from the point of view of a camper - you can camp in the garden for E18 and use all of the hostel's facilities. The place is just a 20 minute walk from town, which is about average for the campsites we tend to go for. It's perfectly walkable... More

I had some doubts going to an hostel with my kids 6 and 7 year old. Anyway I chose to stay in this hostel for some reasons: possibility of meeting other people, possibility to cook your own dishes and also for the fares that are cheaper than other accomodation. The first night they gave us a bedroom close to the... More

We visited the Hostel with a group of 15 people, some if us slept in a cabin, that used so be a barn or something and had no outlets. The other rooms were quite nice. Especially the bathrooms weren't very clean, but it was okay. I really liked the atmosphere and the nice people, who were there, I would come... More

As we were hiking the Dingle Way, we were very thankful for the shuttle from town out to the hostel -- otherwise we might have taken the loss on the reservation fee and found someplace more central, especially when contemplating a walk back into town for dinner. The building is nice, clean, and bright. The noise, however, was a problem.... More
