I gave this 5 stars but the first thing i have to say is it is definitly overpriced, however it is perfect in every way, the couple who own it are always on hand to give advice and asking if here is anything they can do to help, some 5 star hotels could learn a lot from these two, the... More

Hi First of all delighted with your recent reward. Well done and deserved. Myself and my wife stayed there last year while attending a wedding and despite having to change my reservation late in the day due to an accident, we could not have been made more welcome. Its a really nice product, very high quality and the breakfast is... More

We selected this B&B for our Dingle stay during my 50th birthday holiday (in July 2010) to Ireland and Scotland based on the reviews of others here and elsewhere. I must say that all the superlatives did Brian and Helen justice; our experience could not have been bettered. From the luxurious linens and luscious bath amenities to the phenomenal breakfasts... We had an opportunity to stay at Castlewood in May 2011 on a family adventure in Ireland. It was absoluvely the nicest place I've stayed in my travels, and run by the kindest people you will ever meet. The room was fantastic, and the food was even better. I can still conjur up memories of the wonderful breakfasts provided each... More

Number one in Ireland, Number two in Europe, Number six in the world! that says it all really, couldn't improve on it Haven't been back to Castlewood for a year or so, but had to say congratulations to Helen and Brian, so pleased for you both, richly deserved for all you give to your guests. More

My family (2 adults, one teenager and a nine year old) spent our Summer holiday in Castlewood House last year. It was only a short break (four days) and we splashed out on Castlewood House rather than a larger hotel. From the fabulous welcome, the luxurious accommodation and with bathrooms bigger than my bedroom at home, we were truly well... More

Halfway through my whirlwind tour of Ireland and this was the first place I actually relaxed and took a deep breadth. The food was amazing, as was the room and view. The owners were wonderful and the location is perfect for exploring the Dingle peninsula! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I plan on going back when I get... More

I don't normally leave reviews, but I just heard this morning that Trip Advisor gave this place #1 in Ireland and #6 in d'World. We stayed here last September and I can't disagree! Clean, modern (in a nice way), homely, friendly and within walking distance of the town (5-10 mins). Breakfast was top class too (I'm vegetarian and d'wife is... More

Our stay at Castlewood House could not have been better. The property is located at the west end of Dingle, a short pleasant walk to downtown, no need to drive. It is also near the beginning of the Dingle Penninsula drive. Brian and Helen were fantastic hosts and offered good information on restaurants, music and sights. The breakfast was out... More
