This was our second visit to Dingle, and the price of a room at the B & B we stayed at last year had risen dramatically – from 40 euros per room per night last year, to 68 euros this year! So I searched a bit further and came up with James G Ashe’s, which cost 55 euros a night... more

James G. Ashes is situated above the highly rated seafood restaurant and pub of the same name (not to be mixed up with Ashes B&B, a separate establishment in Dingle). Breakfast was not offered or available, however there were various establishments serving breakfast within a few hundred feet. We checked in on a Saturday in late April for 2 nights,... more

Surprisingly this B+B was one of the best B+Bs we stayed in. The room was great with lots of light and the bathroom had a power shower. The B+B was right in the centre of the town, and the breakfast was great. Even though it is above a pub/resturant we heard nothing. We were lucky enough to have one of... more

We stayed at this B&B over during our road trip through Ireland this summer. When we arrived in Dingle and set about to find a place to stay we happened to park right in front of this place and thought we would give it a shot. The rooms are let out by the bartender who is a fairly young, but... more

We had struggled to find any vacancies in hotels in Dingle so thought we'd chance it witha B&B ! We had been told that our room was the best one, albeit that it would be a bit noisy as it's on the main street. It was quite noisy as we stayed on a Saturday night but we are not light... more

The Location is the best thing this place has going for it which is right in the centre of the town, the pub is like sitting in your grandmothers front room, but full of locals not looking too happy to welcome in tourists. Bedrooms are average but at a more expensive price than other b&bs in the town and can... more

We enjoyed two Globus tours of Ireland in 1999 and 2000. We only visited the pub for a few drinks on each tour but it was the highlight of our tour. The warm welcome and traditional Irish hospitality made our time there most enjoyable. At that time our hosts were Paddy and Sadie and they played traditional Irish songs while... more

A big disappointment. Their web page was quite inviting and the breakfast menu shown there swung it for us (Hot Irish Porridge with Baileys Cream and a chioice of full breakfast complete with white and black puddings, American Style Pancakes with Dingle Honey or Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon followed by a selection of Farmhouse Cheeses, home-baked bread and coffee,... more

Management response from
Sinead, owner

the guests were shown to their rooms and 1 guest was not happy with their sheets. So I change them.I am a bit insulted by the reference to our bar as 'Down-at heel' .Breakfast is served between 9-10am, As they were told on arrival & as stated in letter in room.Sorry but no note was found & the guests were charged...
